She Means Well....
On Saturday we had gone to an outdoor benefit so being really hot I wore a summer dress and I asked Dennis 20 times if it looked ok before we even left the house. Since it was humid and going to be 3000 degrees once I started dancing. I opted to not wear Spanx out because lets face it you can sweat in those things. Dennis told me that it looked good so I went out!
So last night my Aunt was over she went to the benefit with us we were looking at the photos and then she told me that she Didn't like my dress on Saturday because it showed off my belly too much. I felt to sick to my stomach like did I look bad all day long??? My muffin top is the thing I am most self conscious since surgery. I know she meant well but now I am freaked out in my mind over the whole thing.
Ugh this mind trip we go on with this surgery.

You look amazing! I agree there are a few body parts that I am not crazy about but I would wear the muffin top as a badge of honor. I mean I just saying that just means that you have come a long way baby and until both of us can afford the plastics I say there is nothing we can do and you know what Beth? Dennis told you that you looked good that is what I would keep in the back of my mind. Trust me he knows what he is talking about! {{{Hugs}}}

Sometimes people just need to not say anything! As my mother used to say, "If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing!" She may have "meant well" but those type of comments really play with your mind. I had a coworker say something about my haircolor that I had done myself. She said, "It really doesn't compliment you, it looks fake". So what did I do? After work, I went and got more hair color and colored my hair AGAIN!! Some of my other coworkers thought I was crazy for changing it, but thought both colors looked nice. To me, it really played with my mind. Did I look like an orange haired freak all day? I totally understand what you went through. I think you look fantastic!! You rock it, GIRL!!!

I understand how aunts can be. They think they are being helpful - yet what they say really plays with our heads.
My mom always told me - look in the mirror is you like what you see, screw everyone else....my mom was a character and I do miss her sarcastic isims......
