She Means Well....
You were looking good Babe. The pics show that and your smile all day showed it too. You were looking good and feeling good. No need to change any of it cause it's in the history books now and forever. That day was a great day.
I love your Aunt and she has always said what's on her mind, sometimes it's just after the fact and not always with tact and we respect her anyway. We all do and will continue to. I'm sure if she knew the way you felt she would reconsider her words but that's not to say she won't at some point in the future, "speak her mind". Maybe it's generational. We do love her.
I love you Baby and you are beautiful "all the time".

One - the only people you had to feel good for on Saturday was (a) YOU, and (b) DENNIS - and Dennis loves you to pieces so he doesn't see the flaws you THINK you have! You look fantastic so get out there and flaunt it.
Two - family thinks they can get away with saying things that friends or strangers never would and somehow it justifies their ignorant comments because they are family. Ignore her - you felt good and I'm sure you looked great - stick with that.
Three - I KNOW I should wear Spanx on my lower body - my thighs are horrible (yeah, we all have our spots, right - LOL!!) but I feel this way - I didn't lose 175 lbs just to squeeze into a girdle now!! Especially when it's 90 and the humidity is 99%. UGH!
You cherish the fun memories you had of Saturday night, and try to forgot the one little comment made out of ignorance so it doesn't spoil it for you.

Beth, we are our own worst critics. You weren't 110% sure before you left...or you wouldn't have asked Dennis over and over.
The pics? Well, I only recently saw a picture of myself where I thought for half a minute, "Oh, I look like a normal person in that picture." Candids just aren't always flattering, ya know? The truth is, you were out, you were dancing, you were living life! Muffin top be damned....ENJOY LIFE girl!
You are very generous in cutting your aunt some slack rather than taking her remarks personally and being hurt or offended.
Yeah, it's a mind trip all right. I'm having this MONUMENTAL debate right now over buying a dress (on sale for like 20 bucks) for summer which, honestly, I need...because it might make me look fat. It's a classic cut, just a print fabric. And I never have worn print. Fat girls don't wear print. And it has purple in it. And fat girls in purple look like freakin' easter eggs. And it has a slight empire waist. And a fat girl in an empire waist might as well look pregnant (even at my age!)
See?
