** Super Sunday roll call **
Good morning PA! What an amazing day!!!!!!!!!!! Started off with a happy Emily when her daddy brought home munchkins as they ahd to miss "Muffins with Dad" on Friday becuase of her fever - there isnothing like a smile of an 8 year old when she thinks that "magic" happened and her daddy "read" her mind. FABULOUS! AND...her fever broke! YAY!
Headed to the synagogue to see the Bat Mitzvah of one of my students and she did beautifully. I was the kvelling teacher yet again! Then off to Karen's for an AMAZING day of friends, laughter, support and SAUSAGE STUFFING....what an experience - if I don't make them ever again, I can atleast say that I had those sausages growing right in my hands! :) (Thanks Maura and Mark!) Ran home, put on the fabulous black dress and KICK-ASS shoes! Headed over to the wedding reception of one of the firemen that Larry works with - What a fun night. I was not looking forward to spending the evening with people that I did not know - but it turns out - some alcohol, some dancing and some people with GREAT BIG personalities, and one can have a great time! Firemen are BIG drinkers and even bigger flirts - I was in my element! And the best part - I felt sooooo good about myself! I was so NOT the fat girl in the room and felt like I belonged next to Larry - he has been looking so yummy lately and I only want to look good next to him, tonight I definitely did!
Headed to bed soon - have NO reason to get up early tomorrow - so that means - I am sure I will be up by 6. HA HA! I do have to go to the market at some point - the natives are restless and want to eat! :) the nerve of some people! I also thikn I am taking Emily to her friends house to swim - the house of the friend she was supposed to see last night and today. Otherwise a nice lazy Sunday - oh wait.....I have to go camp shopping - forget the quiet part!!!!! :)
I hope you all have a GREAT Sunday.

Had to go and start your own post, didn't you? What's the matter, can't share with Trish? LOL
Anyway - I was out cold by 9:30 last night, and slept like a rock. I don't remember Brian coming to bed...I'm not even sure I moved at all last night :) Got up about 6 and have just been chilling.
Should probably run to the store to pick up some things for lunches for the next few days at work and such...
Once Bri gets up I need to collect some laundry from the bedroom, put some stuff away and all that fun domestic type stuff.
Hopefully a quick nap before work...2 on before 3 off!
Have a GREAT day!

Hey PA - good morning!
I didn't make it to cooking class yesterday...regretfully, but the drive felt "far" to me and I needed to tackle some of the jobs around here that had been waiting. So I got rid of 3 boxes of ancient craft supplies from the basement, put things away that had been out of place for too long, and committed myself to some focused organizing that needs to go on around here.
But I do understand that there was sausage involved. (Yesterday, that is.)
I'm not sure I could have handled it!
Also yesterday Mike's daughter stopped by to get a couple of items we had been saving for her. She is moving out of her house this weekend...with the kids...so it was a melancholy time. Her new sweetie was with her, as well as her (still legally) husband, who was helping with the move. The whole thing can sound like Jerry Springer at some moments. Other times, it's just sad, knowing the pain that separation and divorce bring. I only hope and pray that the new guy (who I call "Ken Doll", but not to his face) is as wonderful as she thinks he is. We have 3 granddaughters who will be living under the same roof with him. Anyway it was great to see the kids, if even for a few minutes. Daughter has sort of avoided us for a while - partly because Ken Doll is obviously her focus, and partly I think because she doesn't want the reality check her dad would like to provide....or that she thinks he would provide.
We mostly have the good sense to keep our mouths shut. Ah, the fine art of knowing what NOT to say....
Today...church. I'm teaching my class and have things in order for that. It's an adult class so...a bit easier in terms of holding people's attention than kids. But a little more challenging in terms of the types of questions and discussion that can pop up. (Like last week, the question was the difference between "sacrifice" and "doing what we are supposed to do").
Mike has meetings afterward, then has to pick up some treats from his work for our girls who are going to camp next week. This means he will get home about 3 p.m. This means that our time together will be VERY short this weekend, since he worked a 12 hour day yesterday (counting travel) in NJ. I plan to be VERY possessive of that time!
I will come home and hopefully finish an afghan that I am working on. (What!!! Finish a project??? I NEVER do crafty type stuff. What on earth has happened!!!)
I'm thinking of what to cook...his work hours have been so long lately that I haven't cooked many "normal" meals. He's eaten out, I've had a few extra protein shakes, and we've eaten dinner out a time or two in the past week just because the schedule has been so insane. It's too hot to "really" cook so I might try to scare up some steaks or chops that we can grill. And I have the ice cream maker in the freezer, and fresh frozen strawberries too so that may be in our future. Yep...protein and ice cream. Who could ask for more?
Anyway, keep cool everyone. Those of us with hair issues are sure to be frizzy today.

Good Morning all!
Great day yesterday and another great one planned today. We have a full day planned - biking along the canal (got new bike shorts and a new gel seat yesterday - to save my bum) and then back to the house to finish the back yard. We stopped at the garden center last night and got the remaining plants and such to finish the yard and set up our fountain. I'll post pics on FB when we finish tonight.
Since I have to continue the experiment (and use the remaining casing), I am going to use the remaining 3 lbs of ground meat and try to make a moister sausage than we had yesterday (it was too lean). We will also make a few turkey burgers.
Then, I need to start the dreaded step of planning clothing and food for my trip to Salt Lake City this week. I have a 7:05 flight on Tuesday morning and a 5:05pm flight out on Friday - there goes part of my weekend (ugh).
Well - gotta get Mark out of bed and get moving.
Love ya PA!

Y'know - i was pondering the "how to add fat" issue last night for some reason... adding cheese woudl be one answer - you could also experiment with some finely chopped veggies (avocado? squash? mushrooms?) that are fairly high in moisture content... or some chopped bacon (uncooked, I'd think).
That could also be why apples are pretty common in chicken/turkey sausage, I think. I always figured it was just for the taste, but maybe it's for the moisture.
Anyway, just a couple of thoughts to head you on your way ;-).
The sausage was really yummy and definitely worth the experiment! Eddie liked both of them a lot - had a sausage, pepper and onion sandwich when he finally got home last night.
Let us know how your remaining experiment turns out!

Good Morning ALl! We had a realativly good night last night. Amelia slept from 9-1 then was up again at 4, 5, and for the day at 7. I think that she had an upset tummy at 4, she only burped once after her bottle before she was in a deep sleep and I should have kept trying but laid her down.
As for today I already had to turn the AC on, it's too muggy. You know it's bad when you can't hold your baby for more then 2 minutes because you are both sweating so bad. Around lunchtime my Grandmother, Aunt and cousin are coming for a visit - Rachel is going though "Mia withdrawl" she hasn't seen her in 2 weeks and it is KILLING her. The rest of the day will just be spent relaxing and working on the perpetual pile of laundry.
have a good day all - stay cool and hydrated!

We missed you guys yesterday! Adjusting to newborn sleep patterns is just such fun, isn't it? You always feel kinda foggy and off-balance, and when you DO sleep, you have one ear open so you're not sleeping as restfully as you should.
I hope you enjoy your family visit today! And that you take advantage of them being there to take a nice guilt-free NAP without having an ear open for Mia!!! Maybe ask them to run a load of laundry for you, too! Help is a new mom's best friend!

Good morning all,
Today I am going to get some house work done and some laundry that needs worked on. Having a small stackable washer/dryer doesn't let you keep up on it. Besides I hate laundry.![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/beatup.gif)
After that I am going to relax for a bit. I have some friends coming over tonight.
Tomorrow is a new start for me with my exercise. I haven't been able to do it all week. I think I am ready and need it.
Have a great day!

Good morning everyone!
I'm thinking that it's an INSIDE kinda day with the level of mugginess out there. I was going to try and weed a bit, but it's just too horrible for that.
It's been a wonderfully lazy morning... got up late, mopped the kitchen floor, fixed a pan of those ham and egg cups from yesterday, then have been sitting and chilling with Katie.
I'll get my butt in gear soon, though - work on some jewelry, and some programming stuff around the house. Tonight, we're planning to take my mom out to dinner for her birthday. Not sure where yet, but I'm sure it will be somewhere fun.
Have a great day and stay cool and hydrated!
