***Freaking Friday Roll Call***

Is it 7am yet?  Sheesh!  We got our butts handed to us at work tonight!  But I was "bounced" from various sections which was AWESOME because I never got overwhelmed in one section, or tired of patients etc.  Less then 2 hrs to go...and these heavy eyelids of mine KNOW it, lol

On the way home...I might stop at the store just for some lunch meat.  I'm not convinced.  We'll see how I feel on the drive home.

And then it'll be shower, some mundane stuff at home like pack up food for work tonight..take care of my fur babies, and then bed to sleeeeeep!!!

I'm at "The heart" tonight in A-town...so hopefully it'll be a nice change of pace and fairly mindless.  Well, we can hope!

Cooking class tomorrow and I cannot WAIT!

Good morning all!

It is so nice to be Friday!  I am already looking forward to the weekend.

So many changes are in the wind right now.  Looks like we MAY be heading to TX!  At least, my hubby's family, well, part of it, lives there.  So, we won't be alone.  He will go down first and get his Secret Clearance, find us a place to live and then I will go down.  I have the same type of job opportunity but didn't want to risk the expense of moving and then having us lose the job due to clearance.  We shall see.

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

 Good morning Pam/Pa,

Yep, I am glad it is Friday.  Surgery went well and I am doing good.  The surgery took 8 and 1/2 hours.  That's a long surgery.  I went back to work early on Wednesday but have only been working partial days.  I was rear-ended on Tuesday and have a slight concussion which will take up to 2 weeks to clear up.  But all things considered, I guess I am pretty lucky.  Just heart breaking to get rear-ended when you only have 4500 miles on your car.  Oh well.

I am planning on working from home today.  I have hundreds of emails that I am behind on and can get more done here with that.

I am still trying to take that last blasted pound off.  Who knows maybe today will be the day.  At least it is only 1 pound.  I finally went out and bought smaller clothes.  It was getting ridiculous, my pants kept unbuttoning because they were too big.  It just gets so expensive to have to keep buying new clothes.

I made a great dinner last night.  I made a cheesesteak.  I bought Landis steak meat (like steak-ems).  Shoprite sells it and it is 94% fat free.  I cooked the meat and sauteed onions and mushrooms, and put it on one of the Joseph's Middle Eastern Pita's that I get from Netrition.com.  I also put on an ounce of Alpine Lace Low fat provolone cheese and some low sugar ketchup.  It was really very good.

Liz, I was very sorry to see that you lost your grandmother.  I am sure you have a lot of beautiful memories.

I hope everyone is doing well.
Geoff

So sorry to hear about your accident! Glad you're doing better - didn't know you had surgery (must have missed that post somewhere along the way) but whatever it was I'm glad you're up and about and feeling okay.

When I was dropping sizes really fast I hit Marshall's and TJ Maxx A LOT - and they do have a really good selection of men's clothing as well - check out their clearance racks while you're still losing - I was never a frugal shopper before because I couldn't be - I had to special order most of my clothes because they were so big so I paid dearly for them - now I'm the frugal one and if I have to pay full price for something I almost choke - LOL!! But try those stores if there's one near you.

Good morning Pam and all of PA - Pam - I missed you yesterday - hoping all is well.

Larry and I had an amazing time yesterday!  I came home from school, jumped in the shower - because, well, hot. humid, un-airconditioned Steffi - EEEEEEWWWWWW!!!!!!!!  We headed into Peddler's Village - I bought myself a new Coach Bag.....soooo excited!  then we walked around, talked A LOT, then sat down on the outside deck at Sweet Lorraine's and talked some more.  We laughed and really enjoyed each others company.  There was joking, flirting and serious conversation.  Something that we haven't made the time to do in a while.  We also talked about him not doing so MUCH overtime.  I kinda like having him around - (Remind me of that statement the next time I am complaining about how he is annoying me! hee hee)

Today should be an interesting day.  Emily woke up in the middle of the night vomiting.....she said she feels FINE this morning - she is supposed to sleep at a friends tonight - she has a slight fever.  I am not sure if she is going to school or not yet.  Waiting to wake up Larry so he can say, "I don't know Steffi - what do you think?"  Its funny really - we both need each other to make the decisions and we both then don't WANT to make the decisions.  ahhhh....parenthood! :)  After school I was supposed to take Emily to her friends for that sleepover - then take Molly to her friends also for a sleep-over then I have to decide what I want to do with my nails.  Can't decide if I should give them a break and get the acrylic off or just get a new set and enjoy long nails.  oh well....such are the tough decisions in life! :)

SOOOOO looking forward to Karen's tomorrow - I am so desperately in need of hugs from friends and laughter and most definitely support! :)

Have a GREAT Friday everyone! :)

Steffi, I took the acrylic off my nails last summer. This means...I can't do nail polish because it just NEVER stays on my nails au natural. But the thing is...I don't like long nails at all, especially at the keyboard. And that acrylic stuff smells so horrible, it just can't be good for you, right?

With biotin, my nails are a little stronger than they would be naturally, so it's ok.

And I do keep my toes done nicely!

The keyboard is the issue - it drives Larry crazy - well - maybe just being on the laptop while we are in the same room drives him crazy - but I am a picker and I am worried that I will go back to peeling my nails as they grow out - and it takes even more work to keep them looking nice without the acrylic.  Don't know what to do.....I am sure I will give in as I like the long manicured nails look!  Oh well....I was just thinking about being at camp for a month - and I know there are salons in the Poconos - just not sure where and what kind of time I will get - oh well...we shall see.....

And I am sooo ready for a pedi...that will happen too! :)
