*****Thirsty Thursday Roll Call*****
Good Morning Pennsylvania,
Bummer sports night for Philadelphia. Not only did the Flyers lose, but the Halladay pitching repeat against Florida was rained out.
I survived a day with my daughter, and mom. I love my Mom, but...I told my son that if I ever become a meddling ***** like my mother, he was to shoot me and put me out of his misery. Mom finds fault with everything people do, and if it has to do with my children, she tells me to tell them. Well, I don't tell my kids what they should do anymore. They do not live under my roof, and they are well over the age of 18. I do not pay their way in the world, so I abdicate the "Meddling Mom" role to God. When my youngest was still in college and I was paying his bills it was a different story. Not anymore. Well, Mom does not like to be told that what she is telling me is none of her business, that it is between my children and their spouses.
I got my IV iron infusion and learned I must get four more, once a week for four weeks, and that there are flu like side effects to it. Yipppeeee!
So, Thursday will have me hydrating and laying low, for a change. I am wiped, and feel like something that the cat would not even bother dragging in.
I hope everyone was able to stay warm and dry on Wednesday, and that Thursday is a more pleasant day weather wise.

Had a great support group meeting last night. We have three strong attendees and they are doing great. I went there discouraged and came back out encouraged. I wish all would take the time to go to a support group meeting.

Morning brings even more clarity into my life. Larry and I had an amazing afternoon yesterday and then were actually together to watch the Flyers game. Although the ending was anti-climatic - it wsa a fun run. And the joy of sports - is that we can try it again next season. Kind of like being a teacher - you get to start over every September.
I am looking forward to getting to school this morning for another Closing Exercises rehearsal. Still not LOVING my students after the anti-semetic remarks made the other day, but just because of a few - I will not punish the whole. After school, I may steal Larry and go somewhere - maybe into New Hope - just a thought. I think it is high time we had some adult time. Anyone with any other suggestions? A nice place to walk around - enjoy each other and possibly get something to eat?

Mark and I love walking around new hope - very good choice - the portions are huge and a bit over the top, but Marsha Browns is absolutely wonderful and blue tortilla is great authentic food.

act like kids and walk around love saves the day - always funny things to be found in that store.. maybe you need a retro outfit - it is the best place for that!

Rather than walk in New Hope, you could go to the Inn of the Dove in Bensalem. Just a thought!!! Definitely some adult time there. :)

If not New Hope there is always Peddler's Village to walk around outside for a nice adult evening. Plus some good places to eat there for sure.
If you can not get away too far even a nice walk in Pennypack park or even down by the river. Find a nice spot and sit to talk. Maybe take a picnic basket some cheese, grapes, apples and crackers. Then maybe a small bottle of wine. Just a thought.
