***Terrific Tuesday Roll Call***

Good Morning Pennsylvania,
Stayed up to watch Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert.  I need a laugh at night.

Monday's babysitting was full of interesting stuff, including a mistake with my grandson's formula.  Poor kidlet.

Tuesday should see me babysitting again, at some point.  Other than that, nothing exciting.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning Trish and all of PA.

Yup - it is 2:41 AM and I am wide awake!  UGH!  If this is what gettingolder is - I would like NO parts of it thank you very much.  This has been going on far too long.  Time to go back for the sleep study to see why I keep waking up.

Had a pretty good night minus one STUPID addict moment where I literally was rummaging through my pantry becuase i knew I had sugar free wafers and HAD to have some!  I was soooo mad at myself - more about the loss of control - I did find them, only ate three - which IS the serving size, but still - it was the "I HAVE to have it" that really frustrated me!  And lookingback - I do't think it was out of emiotino - so I really DON'T know why it happened.  I HATE not having answers!

So today is school again, hoping for a cool day like yesterday - it was great!  Coming home after school and then going back out for a shiva call as the dad of one of my CRAZY facebook friends passed away on Sunday from pancreatic cancer.  Have I mentioned that we REALLY need to find a cure for all kinds of cancer.  stupid disease!  Larry is working again, but will be home for the Flyers game on Wednesday - looking forward to watching with him again. Things were MUCH better yesterday.  Oh - and I have decided to call our old therapist to get myelf in there - I just have to see if she still works there.  I tried calling yesterday - my phone was dying, so I will try again today.  I PROMISE!

Have a GREAT Tuesday everyone!

Hey Steff,

Sometimes, the I gotta have it is just that and while we are "different" the old weigh****chers mantra was, if you really have to have it, then don't eat around it, have it and be done with it. . .  loss of control is when you don't stop at a serving size and continue to graze. . .  however, we are food addicts and hopefully the sugar does not get you craving more. . .btw, they do make sugar wafer cookies that are sugar free, though I think the fat content is probably higher and then too, it is always about portion control. . .

As for the sleep issue, it seems many folks post-WLS have that issue, so it might not be an age related thing. . .  I think it's an abundance of energy, which I seem to use up very well. . .  just my thoughts on things. . .

Glad you and Larry are better and so sorry about your friend who died, cancer is an ugly disease.

Hugs, Laureen

Hey Laureen - you are right - I need NOT beat myself up over it - it was just that I HAD to have it which freaked me out.  They are in my pantry because I DO have control over it - Once I find I cant control something - I don't bring it back into the house.  And the fact that the serving size was what I ate - I did still have SOME control - but it was still the rummaging - and getting upset that I couldn't find it right away.  Oh - and they WERE sugar free - still not even attempting ANYTHING with more than two grams of sugar, I know I can't handle any of it!  It would set me back and I am not willing to start that over again!  And things are always way clearer in the morning for me anyway!

You are right also about the sleep thing.  I bet if I actually did get ANY exercise short of raising my voice with my students and children, then sleep would get better.  Come to think of it - the problems started when I was done teaching Hebrew School and the kids were done with the majority of their activities and I was spending more and more time on the computer - damn....I hate when things are so clear and I can't see them - looks like some exercise is back on my agenda! :)

Thanks for even more clarifiation!

Hey Steffi,

You have a lot going on in your life right now and maybe your mind is in overdrive, preventing you from getting good sleep. Glad to hear that things are better at home! If you need a good therapist I have a great one in Newtown. She deals with alot of WLS patients and I would highly recommend her! You would really like her!! I have been going to her for over a year and she has really helped me.

Let me know!

Yeah - it could be that my head is all over the place with too many good and some not so good things - I will defintely call you if I can't get hold of the therapist that Larry and I have used in the past.  One - I liked and trusted her - and two - she already knows my history - as much as I love to talk about myself - dredging up all the crappy stuff in my life is a little exhausting....Hey wait....maybe I will sleep better! :)  HA HA HA!

YYYAAWWWWWNNNNN

Having sleep issues myself.  I try to go to bed at a decent hour and then I wake up in the middle of the night and have a hard time falling back to sleep. Then in the morning I don't want to get out of bed.  I am going to bring it up with the new surgeon at my appt.

Today has me working til 3:30 ish
After work, I will be making dinner and then headed off to Siehara's last therapy appointment.  She rescheduled from last week.

Then, home to hopefully catch up on my sleep.

I am going to go out at lunch time and at least get a walk in since I will not have time to go to the gym today.

Morning PA Friends. . .

Trish I am sure you are enjoying having those grandbabies near.

Well I figured I stop in briefly and say hi and wish everyone the best of days!

Getting ready for work, walking Roxie and then heading down 295 to 95 into Wilmington where I work. . .  after work taking the car for an oil change, then picking up roommate and going to a group anniversary meeting.

You all have a wonderful day!

Hugs, Laureen
