Monday YAWWWNNNN roll call

We left at 6:30 and hit the same stinking thing in Milford - unfortunately we didn't have our GPS with us (and ours stinks anyway) so we had to sit thru it - they're doing road work at night on Route 1 right after 113 dumps into it and I think DelDot was out there setting things up which really snarled everything. Took us 3 1/2 hours to get home - only took us 2 hours to get down there Friday night! But the weekend was so wonderful and relaxing I refused to let some traffic ruin it for me.

We did see most of the air show - we took our friends' boat out into and anchored with a bunch of other boats and sat there and watched the show - what we saw was great but I'm sure if you were on the beach it was incredible! We didn't catch the entire finale - it just got too hot sitting out there and the dogs were really feeling it.

Our GPS is in our cell phones, so we always have it with us.  And we've used it a number of times to avoid some sort of snarl going to/from the beach.  Funny, though---Paul turns off the main road and tells me to use the GPS but then proceeds to ignore it and find his own way around!

I don't think we saw any more of the air show than you did.  We stayed on 41st St instead of going down near the seating area.  I was disappointed with the show on Sat---I thought the practice days were better (although my cats were terrified from all the fly-overs!)  We didn't see the finale yesterday.  We needed to clean up and get on the road to make sure we dropped Anson off on time.  And you ain't kidding it got hot!!!  I was chilly yesterday afternoon, then the temp suddenly went up about 10 degrees.

It seemed like there were long lulls between the different planes and events, but we did enjoy it. My poor husband didn't see much of it - he has cataracts and couldn't find the planes even with our direction - he is having them taken care of soon. I tried getting the GPS on my iPhone but it didn't work, but since I do most of the driving and my husband doesn't even know how to answer a call on my phone that won't work! I bought him a Tom-Tom a few years ago for Xmas and it's the worst unit ever. We may just break down and buy a Garmin - everybody seems to have good luck with them.

Glad you had a nice vacation! The weekend was awesome.

I think my step-dad bought my mom a Tom-Tom for Christmas.  They couldn't figure it out and ended up returning it.  I couldn't see all the planes either.  I could only tell where some were and what they were doing by their exhaust.

Your husband will be amazed at how well he can see after cataract surgery!

Everybody keeps telling us that about his surgery - he keeps blaming his glasses and everything else but he is 71 and diabetic, so we knew this was coming. I won't let him drive at night at all anymore - and very rarely during the day because he just doesn't see stuff.

Morning, all!!

We left the beach yesterday, so it's back to reality today.  Paul has a couple of appointments in DE, so we'll head home to my house this evening.  After being away for over a week, I'm scared to get on the scale tonight/tomorrow morning.

Have a great day, all!!!

Good Morning Lisa and PA,
I slept in, and then took Utley for his morning walk.  It is gorgeous out there.  I opened the windows and am letting the breeze air out the apartment.

Today I was supposed to go to the retirement center for teachers, but I am wiped out still from the anemia.  I will reschedule for after my IV iron infusion.

Today is tidy and vacuum because tonight I babysit my grandson.  My daughter bought season passes for Isabel and her to go to Sesame Place, and I take Lincoln for the evening to allow my son-in-law to continue his work, and give the other grandparents a break.  Truth is, I wanna see my grandon and granddaughter.

So, I hope you all have a great day.

Hugs,
Trish

Morning, Folks!

I'm so glad you guys worked it out amicably and didn't make me have to choose between Eric and Lisa, because I don't think I was quite up to that level of diplomacy this morning ;-).

I am TIRED.  My body is crashing after the last few weeks of stress and exhaustion, and i'm definitely feeling it now.  I made it to work on time (pretty much) but barely... couldn't drag ass out of bed for a workout no matter how hard I tried.  So I'll plan on just going for a run tonight after work as long as the weather holds...  and an EARLY bedtime.

Today's the first day back at work, and so far have gotten smacked with 3 trouble reports, all urgent.  I'm sitting here waiting for the sys admin to respond to any one of my emails/voice mails, so figured I'd jump online so I don't jump down someone's throat.  Have I mentioned I'm feeling a bit less than tolerant and patient this morning?  No?

Ah well.  It's incredibly gorgeous weather out there, so I'll plan on getting out at lunchtime and doing some errands to take advantage of it.  And the more I do at lunch, the less I have to do after work, thereby contributing to the early bedtime ;-).

Hope you all have a chance to take advantage of the amazing weather!
