Going back to the gym.. I don't need to tell myself too often today because I have an appointment with the trainer (last one) so I know I'll go.

I am going to go ahead of time and do about 10 minutes on the elliptical and maybe 10 or 15 on the treadmill.  I don't want to do too much because we are working on lower body today.

So, warm up cardio and lower body with the trainer.

Who else is moving today?

I am! I did my hour on the elliptical and will be walking on my lunch and breaks. I have been so sore since Monday so have not been going to the gym for the strength training. I am so jealous though working out with a trainer. I want to do it but can't afford it right now.

I really can't afford it either, but I got a good deal on 5 sessions and thought this would jump start my motivation to get back into the gym.  

It really didn't work this time  , probably because it's not the same trainer I was working with when I first joined.. WHOOOO ROCCO!!!!!!!!!!!    

BUT, I am going to get my arse back in and do this!

Actually Rocco had told me that since he is not at the gym anymore, he would be willing to do some training with me at home.  He said that we can work with what I already own--exercise ball, weights, and pilates band  and would bring stuff he has and possibly get a stepper.  I want to talk to him to see if we can really do this.  I need to get back into a regular routine and he knows what I am trying to achieve.

This is day 3 of not doing anything per my Physical Therapist's orders.  She is allowing me to do Relay for Life tonight with limitations.  The only thing I am allowed to do is my PT stretches.  It is very hard for me to sit still but I am trying it.

You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

Today the Wellness Dept at work hosted a 5K.  It was scorching hot & sunny...but I did it!
I walked most of it & jogged a smidge...but I did it!

Holy freakin' trainer workout.  This new trainer guy should have been around before.  He whooped my ass.  I did stuff today I never thought I could do.    One of the things he had me doing was some sort of ladder climby thing without a ladder though.  I was on the floor in a push up position and had to switch my legs back and forth from front to back.  It had my heart rate up, legs sore.. OMG.  He also had me doing walking lunges with a medicine ball.   There was a lot of leg work on the machines too.  It was awesome because everything we did today was new for me except the ball squats on the wall.  

If you see me walking very very slow tomorrow, you'll know to blame Jeff.  Where has he been all my life?

Sounds like you might have hit gold with this guy. I used to have a trainer when I belonged to Gold's gym. My work is moving to a new location that has on site work gym. I can't wait as they are supposed to have a part-time trainer maybe if I am not paying for a gym membership which is $110 at planet fitness I could put that money towards the trainer they will have at my work site gym. Now all I have to do is somehow convince hubby to let me pay the trainer that amount
