Really?

Ok, so I am just venting. Close this if ya don't want to read about a whiny *****

I have totally gotten away from keeping track of carbs that I eat. So the last few days I have been really making changes.

Johnny requested Lasagna for tonight. I made one. But I made a special one for me with only sauce, meat, veggies and cheese. It looked and smelled so freaking good. I put on the oven mitts, got the casserole dish out, and dropped the freaking thing on the floor. Scolding hot cheese burnt my arm and foot, favorite dish is broken into pieces, AND my dinner is ruined!

BOO HOO! I am freaking annoyed and frustrated. So I have yet to eat. Kids ate the left over meatloaf, so the only option I have is to eat the Lasagna I made for everyone else. On one hand, I just want to dive in and say "to hell with it", on the other hand, I want to realize discouragements are not a reason to pig out.......and let it send me into a bad eating habit.

So far for dinner, I had a beer. UGHHHHHHHHHH!

Done *****ing......carry on, and thanks for reading!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Doesn't that just royally tick you off when sh@ t like that happens and nobody else really gets it?! Really sux about your dinner - have the beer - relax - find something else to chow down on. Eat the other stuff if you have to and do not beat yourself up about it.

Ok, take a deep breath, sit down and think....

Yes- it sucks that you dropped your dinner
Yes-it sucks that you got hot cheese and burned your arm
Yes-it sucks that you ruined your favorite dish

This is life lesson number #3, life sucks but we have to deal with it. It seems that you are by not digging into the lasagna that you made for the rest of the family. #2- You are on OH venting your feelings, GOOD FOR YOU!! After you calm down, realize that you did the right thing. Better to write down and get your feelings out than just keeping them in and "feeding" them with food.
If there has been anything that I have learned in this journey it is to feel your feelings and not stuff them down with food!

It will get better....now take one more deep breath and get some protein!!!

Jodi,

You're sooo not alone!!!  I've made stuff that I was really looking forward to---only to drop it and have it ruined.  Yep, it sucks, but it's not the end of the world, so don't beat yourself up over it.  You're moving in the right direction trying to cut back on carbs, so pat yourself on the back and keep moving forward.

Jo,

Boy, what a stinking thing to have happen....I think I'd be *****ing about it too.  I hope your evening gets better.  **hugs** that you can shake it off and savor the rest of the evening with Johnny and the kids.

Jodi,
I love this post. Not because you dropped the dish with your dinner in it but because I thought I was having a bad day but your day apparently just ended badly. Sorry to hear about your ruined dinner but you know you can vent here and we will be here for you. Feel better and I agree don't beat yourself for having a beer. Dust yourself off and tomorrow is another day. {{{{{Hugs}}}}}

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!

Thanks all. Sometimes the little things seem so big at the time. I spent alot of time making the perfect sauce, I was caught up in having my meal tonight.

I had a very small piece of the regular, removed most of the pasta.......

Just sucks when you are feeling ****y about doing well all day and making a great tasting healthy meal. Nothing like "life" to put me in my place.

Thanks for letting me vent. I know it seems stupid........but real at the same time.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
