it's been a long time.......
since I have been on here and also since I have seen the first number on the scale start with a ONE!!!!!! Yippeeee!! And I will never go back to the two hundreds! But anyways I have been super busy with my new job as a travel agent, had a month of training in NJ.... it messed up my eating schedule and good habits with eating out for 3 weeks, I was so sick of eating.
So now I am trying to get back on track, I need to start tracking my food again.....my new favorite is salads, I am so glad I can tolerate them... chicken not so much :(
Since I am able to eat more foods and larger quantities I am afraid of over eating and stretching my pouch out and ruining my surgery.... I am having alot of hair loss too, so I need to up my protein, any other advice for the hair loss? I love going to the gym, I have so much energy, it is great!! Hopefully now that things have slowed down I will be on here more often, I miss talking to everyone!

Hey there Liz!
First and foremost - WELCOME TO ONEDERLAND!!!!!!
I forget how far out you are...and didn't think to look before I clicked on "respond"...but as far as hair loss...there's a few things that *might* work. The biggest one is of course to get your protein in....which sounds like you are working on doing.
You can also add in a supplement like GNC's "hair and nails" formula...some people swear by it. It contains biotin which is supposedly great for helping with hair loss. I started using it well before my hair started falling out...but it didn't do ANYTHING for me - I kept up with it religiously until about 5 months out and realized it wasn't doing anything except, oddly enough, making me need to shave my legs more often, LOL My hair still fell out like there was no tomorrow.
Others have used a special shampoo - I think it is called Nioxin or something to that effect...again...contain biotin
But really - what will most likely happen is that it will continue to fall out for the next few months - you will NOT go bald...even though it feels like you might. There's also some "basic" things you can do to "help" your hair - don't pull it back in a pony tail (adding stress to it), stay away from blowing it dry/curling iron/flat iron...ya know...just be "gentle"
Have fun enjoying your new self!!!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses. ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/thumbsup2.gif)

Congrats on your successes. We all get busy with our lives and forget about taking care of ourselves but as soon as you recognize that trend ... change it. :-) We must look out for our little pouch. Its like taking care of a pet. LOL
Woohoo on the travel agent job. I wanna do that when I retire. :-)
Have a great day
