You are one week post-op.  Start with baby steps, like one cleaning activity, not the whole house.  Hang in there.

Hugs,
Trish

Morning, all!!

Not sure what today holds.  Paul mentioned going golfing today, so that means I'll have the day to myself.  Think I'll spend some time on the beach.

Have a great day, all!!!

Fast week for sure I thought about staying home again today but glad I didn't another co worker is out and since there is 3 of us that would not be so good. But my boss also has to leave for awhile so I will be here alone in quiet.

I didn't really do anything other then hit the bank yesterday then just relaxed at home with my day off but it felt good. Nothing on the agenda other then a meeting this weekend so I am looking forward to being home.

Tonight it is cheeseburgers for dinner then relax watch some stuff we have DVR'ed then bed early. Maybe even go through my summer clothes to see what I have from last year and oh year what I have bought this year so far.

Morning PA,

Nice to see you all here,. . .

I've decided that since I am feeling disconnected I need to participate more, so even if it is just a quick hello, you will see me here more.  This is one of the places I started with before I had surgery and for those that don't know me, while I live in NJ, it was suggested by someone on that forum, way back in the days when I was still researching surgeons and hospitals, that I jump over the state line, since I lived so close to it and because the NJ Forum was not a very active board, which I believe is still the case, so I came here and made lots of wonderful connections and living as a post-WLS can be very full, I have not been a regular here much lately, plus I also participate on the Over Fifty Forum (and for those that would not guess it, I do fit that criteria (lol)). . .  anywho, you guys are kind of stuck with me and I intend to stick around, as I've always stated that support is a very key component of this journey and I know with mine lagging somewhat lately, I gained 10 lbs. and it stops here, right now and I have come "back home" to you all great people in PA!

I'll even root for the Flyers (only because I was never much of a hockey person back in NY (lol)). . .  but it is nice to be able to root for one local team and I really hope the Flyers bring home the Stanley cup!

Anyway, I wish you each a good day and if you are facing struggles, I wish you peace and strength to get through them.

Hugs, Laureen

Morning, all...

Today's kind of the "calm before the storm" day for us.  I got to the gym this morning for a nice aggressive workout - needed to get some of the stress of the past few days worked out and it felt wonderful.  Now I feel like i MIGHT be able to deal with SIL and family drama.

We're heading to philly shortly to pick up the rest of our bar stools for the kitchen (YAY!!!).  Then I'm heading out to do grocery shopping and start the cooking-fest for the next couple of days.  So far I'm planning to make Lisa's chicken/spinach bake, the buffalo chicken dip, cheeseburger pie, a huge strawberry salad, and a big fruit plate with a variety of dips.  Will likely also get a bunch of baba ganoush, hummus, and stuff from wegmans and a bunch of pita and naan varieties for people to dip.  Katie's making ziti and brownies.  I'll make some kind of SF dessert as well - maybe a cake or two?  We'll see...

The cooking will keep me from stewing (no pun intended) on my SIL and her dysfunctions and the impending nuclear explosion that's likely to occur when the other SIL comes into town.  Radiation burn  treatment, anyone?  Eric?  Pam?

Sigh.

Have a healthy day and enjoy the gorgeous hot weather!
