** Marvelous Memorial Day Monday roll call **
Wow! Three days in a row for me - could this be a summer preview??!! I surely hope so!
I survived the day - actually really enjoyed myself. My step-dad and his new wife looked so amazingly happy, I couldn't help but be thrilled for them, and I LOVE his wife's family. They were awesome, laughed at all my jokes - well - they WERE funny - and put up with crazy DRUNK Steffi. It seemed to be the right thing to do at the time - AND, I didn't beat up my MIL AND I got along AMAZINGLY with my sister. Not a bad day after all. I got to talk with people about my mom and it was only positive and no tears! So - all in all - a positive experience. The kids were poised and made me a very proud mommy.
Going to go back to sleep shortly, I hope - and then head to Reading in the morning for an annual family bar-b-que with our very good friends. Can't wait to play with them and swim and schmooze and just have a nice day with the entire family. It turns out that I DO like my family when we are NOT at home yelling at each other - go figure!
I hope whatever you are all doing on this beautiful Monday you take some time to remember WHY we are celebrating!

Im at work and it sucks! I hope my OH friends check in today and keep me company! Had a great weekend, I was sans kids for friday and saturday whhich was nice and my cousin visited and spent the night on saturday. I am stopping in at a bar-b-que afterwork and I am looking forward to the end of the week when I go on vacation. Missed u all this weekend! I hope everyone has a great holiday today.

Today will be more work for me. Almost done with my sons wooden swing from Sams club. I think he loves it!
Two or three more things to plant in the garden and clean out the garage. The wife and I are dead tired after this weekend. We have tried to get to much done. Since I travel we take advantage of these days off to get all the work done around the house.

Tood the grands to a playground yesterday. Went on the swing and the sliding board with Isabel. She also discovered that going down the twisty slide gave her static electricity, and she loved going down it and touching me to "Crack" me with the static. What fun we had.
Today we are going to Giggleberry Fair in Peddler's Village. It's a fun place for kids, indoors.

Had my surgery on Thursday and just getting back on here. Things are going smoothly. Sore a little, but that's to be expected. Said good bye to 290's and 280's already, though. so that's good.
Just going to spend the day watching the kids play and enjoy this gorgeous weather in Pittsburgh. Try to keep cool and comfortable with sugar free popsicles and jello ;)
