***Manic Monday Roll Call***

Morning from Boston!

It's a really pretty, sunny day out there.  yay!  Last time I was here in May we froze and it rained the entire time, so this is a nice change.

So far this morning, I got up later than I planned (slept so well for the first time in MONTHs with no snoring chainsaw beside me - glorious!), locked myself out of my room when I went to get ice water pre-workout, realized i had forgotten to bring toothpaste (yuck!),  However, the hotel has a gorgeous fitness center, so my workout was quite nice.  Breakfast consisted of steamtable eggs (2 bites), a little bit of sausage, some yummy fresh fruit and a little granola.  I will be supplementing with a protein shake later to catch up.

Funny moment this morning, though... When I went to conference registration there are actually 2 events going on.  One is a John Han**** (insurance) conference, and the other is mine (An Event Apart - Web stnadards conference).  Registration for both is at the same area, just different sides of the booth.  So on one side are all the guys (and a few gals) in their dark formal suits (all wearing SNEAKERS, which I found a bit odd... and you could tell that for some of them the sneakers had never been worn before, whcih was even funnier)... and on my side are all of us techno-geeks in our geeky/hippy best.  Talk about culture shock.  One of the younger suits actually came over to me and said "Um... what exactly ARE you guys here for?"  I told him and asked "so why are you guys all wearing sneakers with your suits?"  Turns out it's the theme of their conference "Back on your feet" and they're all getting metal water bottles and have a fitness theme for the conference.  Whatever...  Just a really odd juxtaposition of people and cultures.

Well, I'll be heading down now... I hope you have a wonderful day.

Karen - I know exactly where you are coming from with the "chainsaw snoring".  Brad snores like crazy and often we end up in different parts of the house.   I used to get a reprieve once in a while when I still had my own place.  Since we have moved in together, the only reprieve that I got (unfortunately) was when he was in the hospital with his heart attack.  I have tried every ear plug known to man in an attempt to get some sleep.

Have a great conference !

Karen,
I have not been to Boston in ages.  I lived in Massachusetts for three years, where my 32 year old son was born.  Took my youngest back when he was in Junior High, and he is in his 20s.  My first Mothers Day it snowed there.  LOL

Enjoy that beautiful scenery, even if those Red Sox spanked our Phillies this weekend.  LOL

Hugs,
Trish

Good Morning Trish & PA friends ~

Trish - hope you are feeling better today

Liz - Welcome Amelia !

Today has me at work til 3:30 and then home to do some household chores that I have been putting off.  I have decided to have a Memorial Day picnic at our place for my parents, my sister and Brad's Mom.   With that said, that means I have to move on some things that I have been putting off such as re-doing the bathroom with a new curtain & accessories.  I purchased the new curtain and rings over the weekend.  A new rug and maybe new curtains are next on my list.

After that, I'll tackle my closet.  I need to clear out some winter things to make room for spring things.

Hope everyone has a super day !

Good morning, PA!!

So happy to hear the news of Amelia's birth yesterday!!!  I have to admit I thought they were gonna have a boy.  Happy with a red-haired girl, even if it means I was wrong!!!

Nothing planned for today.  I need to do some laundry and packing since we're leaving for the beach in a few days.  I also need to contact the EZPass people since my transponder didn't work this weekend.  And of course, need to get my workout in, which I'm going to do in a few minutes.

Anson is in a state golf tournament for high school in DE today, so please send good vibes his way!!!

Have a great day, all!!!

Why does the weekend go so fast?? Yesteray after a change in plans we hd a nice breakast with Arlene then came home instead of cleaning I took a nap then woke up made a trip to the mall with Kimmie to make some returns. we wander through the mall then I bought some shoes and flip flops.

Why the rest of Amercia seemed to be watching Lost I never seen it .Den and I curled up to watch the Tudors which now has just 3 more shows to go. That is great TV!

This morning I struggled to get out of bed and really think tomorrow will be a mental health day to just try and do some stuff around the house. We will see!

Of course I want the weekend to get here so we can kick off summer as of right now it is a full of activity all weekend long.....Love it!

Beth, I never watched Lost either.  I am a Law and Order addict, and Bravo usually runs reruns of Criminal Intent on Sunday nights.

Take it easy this week.  I felt pretty blah most of last week myself.

Good morning Trish and PA!
Liz- congrats!  Love the name.  Raising a beautiful baby girl is such a blessing.  You're gonna enjoy the ride!

This morning I went in and had my upper GI, so the only pre-ops left for me are the psych and nutrition consults.  I'm not worried about either of those.  My weekend was pretty good.  The wife and I went out on Friday night and had a blast.  Its nice when things click really well like that with your spouse.  Those of us that are now or have been married know that it doesn't always work out that way, lol.  Saturday I did some yard work, took my son to his baseball game, went to the movies, shopping, and to dinner with the family.  Very nice!  Sunday we went to church and then to my niece's birthday party.  Afterward I detailed my wife's car.  Last night I chatted a bit with Steffi which was nice, and then went to bed.  All in all it was a very nice weekend.

I am very excited about the nice weather for this week.  I will have to ride my motorcycle in to work a few times this week.  Bout time!
