Water VS Milk (the protein powder battle)

Ok so up to this point in my journey all my protein powders have only been mixed with water.  I like them with water and really have had no issue with them with water.  Now I've been wanting to make sure I get in all my calcium and maybe even boost it with some milk.  Today I tried the protein drink with Milk.  OOOHHHH Love it.. that can be dangerous...

so question to group.  Anyone have a preferrence of water over milk when it comes to the 'fruity' type proteins.  You know the ones.. Pina Colda type or orange juice type.

I could see the Fuzzy Navel and milk almost being like an orange julius.

information please

When I drink them (which is rare) I use solely soy milk. Even early out when I was drinking the nectar fuzzy navel I mixed it with milk. I figure if I can get the extra calcium and protein why not! The nectar cappuccino was a lifesaver too

I have not tried them with jus****er.  I either use soy or 1/2 soy 1/2 water.  Absolutely feel that if you can get in the extra protein and calcium that it is worth it.  I also think they are more filling with all milk.

I use 1/2 milk, 1/2 water (usually soy milk).  Tried just one water in the past and no thanks.  Was not a fan.....

The only way I like protein shakes made with either water or milk is if I blend em in the magic bullet with a bunch of crushed ice. If I make chocolate, vanilla, pina colada flavor or a "julius" type flavor, I use 1% milk and ice. If it's an apple, iced tea, strawberry or other fruity flavor...I only use water and maybe some frozen fruit. If I'm feeling crazy, I add a good yogurt flavor to the fruit if it matches. (ie. banana with strawberry, strawberry with strawberries, etc.)

Here's a shake "tip" from the pouch party I attended today:

Mix your shake in the blender for 2 minutes, made with milk and a LOT of ice. It will froth up like a shake.

I always use milk (nonfat), then depending on the flavor I want, I add either:

* Frozen half banana, frozen strawberries
* Frozen half banana, ice, PB2
* ice and almond SF syrup  (or any other flavor of SF syrup)
* Frozen peaches
* Frozen pineapple and coconut
* Frozen cherries and SF Hershey chocolate syrup and ice

Get the idea?  Freeze your fruit, add milk for the protein and calcium, and go for it.  Works with choc, vanilla, and the fruity flavors.

Enjoy!

Alot of people use Soy but I have been using Smart Balance as it has added protein. Also as said in early post add some frozen fruit to them.
