I talked with my PCP this am about not beging able to exercise I told him you said I can work full duty with knee brace but I can't work out  so then what can I do to keep fit he told me I can do some light walking but stop when it hurts also water workouts are good as well. Even upper body workouts. So this got me going I was wondering since it's getting nice out final if anyone would be interested in starting walking group every other weekend in the ABE area and even up my way there are somI e nice trails up here as well. This email that I got from the makers of lap band and what my pcp told me got me out of this funk, he did tell me that I should not over do it.

I think its excellent that you are out of your funk.  Keep riding this wave and keep your motivation up!  State of mind is a powerful thing.  Good for you!

Good for you, Nicki!  Glad to hear POSITIVE thoughts and motivation!  Now just get out and walk a little every day (at lunch? morning? evening?)... and a little more each day.  Use music as a motivator (you'll be surprised that you go a lot further/faster without thinking about it or feeling it when you have some great tunes that you like listening to).  Then supplement with a walking group like you're asking about!  Again, a great way to keep moving!

Glad you got good news. There are alot of ways to stay active through injuries. Staying motivated and creative really helps. Good luck with your walking group
