Thanks for the imput!  I'll definately direct them to the website and let them know your opinions!

I agree with Chele, Dr. Gabrielson is wonderful.  I love the whole Geisinger program.  It was great, pre & post-op support and a super GI nutrition/bariatrics team.
I give the program & Dr G 2 big thumbs up!

Had my RHY done by Dr. Petrick there in April 2007.  A very good program.  On the other hand, I thought they pushed too many people through the program for the numbers.  The one thing people NEED to do is educate themselves better on nutrition and exercise.  I still highly recommend their program though.

Thanks for your imput.  I agree - there are LOTS of programs that seem to "push" people through....and HIGHLY stress self education (through reputible sources only of course)  Luckily my friend (the nurse) is VERY interested in the education - we've spent quite the time talking about my story and what not.  Thank you!

I must disagree with pushing people thru the program, Geisinger does not need numbers, they are well ahead of allot of places and put the education and program ahead of our wants .......any questions about them I'd be happy to answer....the only thing I remember about being in a hurry was that Geisinger med. plan for their employee's was changed two years ago, and they would pay a 2000 up front co pay ....they did as many as they could in Dec. to save these employee's money......but if they were not mentally  ready for this it was not done......I give l00% to the program and all the deticated people who help with their department........Lois
