Geisenger?

Hey all,

A nurse at work - her husband is considering WLS.  I've told her about this sight.  He's looking into lap band...although based on his history and his weight...I've mentioned RNY and the pros to that for him.  Obviously, it has to be his decision and only he will know what option is best for him.

But anyway - his insurance is through Geisenger so he would need to go there.  She (his wife) asked me about their program and I said I didn't know much about it but thought there were people here who have used them and I'd ask.

Comments?  Surgeons?  Facilities?  Pre and Post op support?  Whatddya think?

Tanya and Lois both had their surgery there and have good things to say about the Drs and the hospital.

Can you email/PM me Tanya's email?  I'd like to get in touch with her!

I had my surgery at Geisinger with Dr Gabrielson.  He is amazing.  The whole program is wonderful.  Lots of support.  I do work there also.  I would definitely encourage anyone to go there.   They have a website http://www.geisinger.org/services/bariatrics/index.html.  Sara also had her surgery there.

I stepped back from everything for awhile trying to work thru some issues.  I am back now and hanging in there. Still trying to get life back on track but getting better.
