Shopped in a "normal" store - and it felt so good

That's it - normal sizes, no W's, things fit, I didn't get frustrated, I didn't settle for an outfit, I like what I bought and I felt "normal" - I really didn't want to spend much money on clothes while I am still losing, but it felt so damn good to do it anyway.

That's it - no response needed - am just happy - I was yammering on the phone telling my husband about the things that I bought as soon as I got out of the store and was on my way home, while he was happy for me, I don't think that he appreciated it as much as all of you would.

Going to hang up clothes and figure out what I am going to wear tomorrow

Congratulations!! It DOES feel good. And although supportive, you are right...hubby probably doesn't quite "get it"

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Maura, one thing that has helped me so much along the way is keeping a few outfits that actually FIT in my closet! I haven't gone overboard on spending - well, not till lately when my sizes seem to have settled in - but it feels so GREAT to buy those "normal" sizes, and to slip into clothes that button up and zip the way the are supposed to!

Some fear a shopping addiction but hey - EVERY FREAKING THING YOU OWN IS GOING TO BE TOO BIG!!!! You HAVE to shop!

You go girl. I know how good it made me feel when I started shopping at wallymart and found clothes that fit. Keep up the great work.

BTW, I called and canceled all my catalogs to the big mens clothing. No need to kill those trees anymore!!
