Thanks Pam, it shows the happiness I feel for sure and part of the reason for it!

Laureen,

Love the new avi.  Glad to see you posting.  Was up at Penn State to see my nephew (godson) graduate over the weekend.  My first and only visit to State College.  He is the first of the next generation to get the college degree and it only took him five years.  Next year his sister will be graduating from Delaware Valley College in four year plan.  Will you be at Barix in June?  I am going tomorrow night but I know that Wed. nights don't work out for you.

Anyhow just wanted to highjack the post to say hi.  Take care.

Love, Donna

Hi Donna,

Thanks for the kind remarks on my new avi.   Congrats on your nephew's graduation, my son took 5 years as well and my oldest daughter never finished, but my youngest daughter just became an RN and is going back to the Bachelors/Masters program, mine are the first ones in my mother's family line to graduate college, they worked hard and it's so nice to see. . .  anyway, I intend to be at Barix the first Saturday in June and am looking forward to it, it's been way too long, I miss everyone and certainly can use the support myself. . .  my life is very good these days, please God may it stay that way. . .

See you soon!

Hugs, Laureen

Laura,

I also tea*****atholic school.  We have May Procession on Thursday during the day.  I teach at St. Rose of Lima in West Philly - 7th and 8th grade.  Took today off because I felt horrible with the sinuses - got to miss practice for May Procession.  Glad about that.  Have been wanting to find out where you teach.  I know that you have the little ones.  I couldn't do that but look how crazy I am to teach 7th and 8th grade.  Hope that your day goes well.  Take care.

Good morning Lisa and friends!

Today has nothing special planned for me.  I have some kitchen cleaning to do after work so I'm pretty excited about that!

I had my fifth of six monthly visits to my PCP as part of my insurance approval process yesterday.  I was pretty happy to find that I had lost 10 pounds since last months weigh in.  Yay for me!  I also took the time yesterday to go to my local hospital to get my pre-op EKG and Chest x ray.  I hope those turn out ok and actually make it to my surgeon.  Sometimes it seems like it takes an act of congress in order to get the right information sent into my surgeon.  I have decided that I will need to check and recheck to make sure all my paperwork is done correctly.  Now all I have left is an Upper G I which is scheduled for June 2nd , my psych and nutrition consults which are scheduled for June 29th and my last weigh in which is on June 17th.  Oh yeah, has anyone had an upper GI?  what was that like.  I guess I will be knocked out because they said I wouldn't be able to work that day and I will need a driver.  Great!
I hope you all have a great day.

Upper GI is nothing - you are asleep that "twilight" sleep but you are out totally. The only "after effect" I had was a scratchy throat - nothing that a few ricola couldn't help.

Congrats on the 10 pounds - keep up the great work!
