Morning all... looks like I get the worm today..

Today will be a bit busy for me.  Working til 3:30.  Siehara has a 1/2 day today because it is the start of yet another Jewish holiday tonight... Shavuot.   And since I know you are going to ask, here's a little reading for you on the holiday:

Always teaching, always learning..

When she gets home, I need to run over to the bank and make my car payment on my lunch break.

After work, I have an appointment with my divorce atty to go over inventory.  I assume this means to discuss what is going to the Master so we can hopefully wrap this up.

Later, Siehara has her therapy appointment.  If the weather holds, I am going to walk during her appointment.  I did not have time to get to the gym last night, so I want to get out and do something.  If the weather is bad, I will come home and do yoga.

At that point, I will be ready to just relax with a little facebook and TV before bed.

What's everyone else doing today????

Good Morning Lisa!  And pa!

Well...I never made most of the phone calls I wanted to make yesterday - so that is definately on the agenda today.

Gotta go through the cabinets and freezer/fridge and figure out what the heck I'm packing for work the next couple of nights.  This may also entail a trip to the store for some fill in items.

I woke up with sinus issues.  I have chronic sinus issues - they are better here in PA then they ever were in NJ...but it's unusual that they are bad on a rainy day.  Weird.  Anyway - laying pretty low because of that...I feel like there is a large truck parked directly on the upper half of my face.  And I have a lovely post nasal drip to complete the picture.

A nap will definately be in order this afternoon.  Back at work tonight..first of 5.  3 at LVH and my last 2 orientation days at SH

Stay dry today!

Good Morning Lisa and PA,
I had a dumping episode last night.  Somedays I can eat Wegman's New England Clam Chowder and somedays I can't.  Last night was one of those can't nights.

Today, I have to walk Utley, who is sleeping in this morning.  After that I have to get some paperwork and information together for a phone appointment with Social Security.  After that I have to get it together for another sewing project.  I finished a pair of shorts the other day, for Izzy, and I need to make a coordinating top for them.  After that, I have a dress to piece together, and start sewing.  Tonight I have my group therapy session.

I hope everyone has a decent day.  Looks like we are going to have rain today.  Should make walking Utley interesting.

Hugs,
Trish

Good morning all,

Today's plan is to take care of me. The last few days have been a struggle and honestly if I got on the scale this morning it would say I gained a pound or two. I am not going to depress myself by getting on it. What I am going to do is journal a bit about what has been going on that is causing me to eat like I am. I am going to write out my meal plan for the day and stick to it. And lastly, I am going to go to the gym tonight get some much needed stress relief in the form of a workout and then the hot tub.

Several things have me stressed to no end. Some I can do something about, others I have no control over.  Did I mention I am a control freak.

I had posted this previously on FB and today maybe I need to practice it.

"Today, I resolve to pat myself on the back for working so hard to get where I am in this journey called life. I have had help, both good and bad, along the way. The only constant in the whole journey has been me. Today, I am taking my credit for my work in my journey. Are you taking your due credit for where you are in yours?"

Have a great day, and sorry so long.

I really like that, John.  I think I need to print this out and refer to it when I am struggling.  Thanks for sharing!

Good morning Lisa - missed talking with you last night - were you out?

Today is going to be a wonderful but VERY long day....headed off to school in a few minutes.  teaching til 3:15 - home to possibly chnage myshoes and repack some snacks.  Headed to Hebrew School with my adorable thrid graders.  Then, like Lisa I have Erev Shavuot services tonight.  Thanks Lisa for putting the lesson out there!  (yes people, it's true - we have a holiday for EVERYTHING!  And...another excuse to eat and schmooze!)  However, during tonight's service my older kids are both part of it.  Molly, as a 6th grader, is finishing up her formal schoolin gin the lower school so tonight is like a graduation of sorts.  Josh, as a 9th grader, will be entering his "senior Year" called the confirmation class in the fall - so the current confirmation class passes the torah off to the incoming class for their safe keeping.  I am very much looking forward to it.  I know that both kids are looking forward to it which is amazing becuase both HATE services - as they should btw!  Larry is actually off tonight so we will be a family of four at the synagogue - we are pawning Emily off to my step-dad as the poor thing was at services Friday night AND Saturday monring for the Bat Mitzvah - I don't want her hating Judaism just yet... :)

I took the next two days off - for the holiday.  I will be going to services tomorrow morning to watch as MY studetns are confirmed - These are the confirmation students I eluded to earlier - I have been their teacher since 6th grade with the exception of 9th when they were with others - namely the rabbi - WHATEVER!  And I have known MANY of them since they were about 3.  So - I am very much part of this with them and their families and am so proud at how they have grown spiritually and emotionally - it is going to be a wonderful and emotional day for me.

So - that is my day - I am already dressed for services - I am sure my feet will revolt by the end of the day.  I hope you can all get past the gloom out there and realize that it is NOT snowing?!?! :)  Happy Tuesday all! :)
