Another big WOW - two weeks in a row! :)

So - earlier today I posted about these great new shoes that I bought - they were leopard print, peek-a-boo VERY high heeled shoes.  The pics are on facebook - again, still not bright enough to figure out how to get them on here - anyway - I put the dress on, a size 10 little black number without sleeves and a high halter-like neck that came down to just about my knees.  Threw on the shoes - walked in front of the mirror and was AMAZED at what I saw.  Better yet - I am amazed at what I did't see - I didn't see my big belly - which is what I usually see when I look in the mirror.  Instead I saw a woman who had worked really hard the last 14 months to get healthy.

I have been working REAL hard the last few weeks to look into the mirror and see what others see - the change that I went through, not the stuff that I still want to change.  It has been a real eye-opener for me.  In lieu of seeing the sagging skin, I see the small waist.  In lieu of the droopy girls, I see the neckline and their respective bones.  In lieu of the thick thighs, I see the beautiful calves that look REAL good in "leopard print, peek-a-boo VERY high heeled shoes."  This has been no easy feat - and I know that the conversations that I have had with many of you over the last several months have helped me start to feel good about myself and my accomplishments.   Doesn't hurt that there have been more than one person of the opposite sex who have made some very interesting comments to me about my new body.  That is always good for an ego boost!

Hoping for some more WOW's tomorrow as I head out to Sesame Place and will be able to get on the rides with the girls and walk all around without wondering where the next bench is!

Oh - and I fogot to mention - I kept the shoes on the entire Bat Mitzvah and danced the ENTIRE time - and guess what the theme was....would you believe CANDY?!?!  The place cards were set up with smarties and we sat at the M&M table, yup - M&M's as the center peice.....it was quite a lesson in living my new life! :)

Ok...so not only do I love the dress and the shoes and the way you look and EVERYTHING...but I love the post even more so than that.  The learning....the way you are making yourself look at yourself...simply amazing!  Congratulations on such VERY hard work, mentally and physically and so many rewards you have come to reap because of that!
