Back on the PA board. Been a while.

I have started posting again on OH. I travel a lot and normally do not spend a lot of time on the boards but since I had my surgery I feel the need to talk with people who have gone thru the same stuff that I am going thru.
Glad you guys are a forgiving bunch. You are aren't you?

Never argue with an idiot! They just drag you to their level and beat you with experience!

No "forgiving" required!  We are ALWAYS happy to see returning faces!  Welcome back!  So...what's been going on?

I gave a quick post as to how I am doing so far with the tool. Which is great.

I even went back to work after 7 days. Tuesday I fly to Cali for some work and I feel fine.

Thanks for the support.

Forgive you for what? Having a life? Being busy? Silly man! We are always here - sometimes we drift away for personal reasons but we know we can always come back and are welcomed with open arms.

Soooooo how you doing?? Feeling okay?

You know you don't even have to 'talk' much - come out and lurk if you just need the good karma of this board.

Besides the protein drinks the first 5 days I have not been sick once. I have been able to eat more variety than I probably should but I am eating nothing but good food and in very small amounts.

I think I just bought a recumbent trike so I can ride the PA trails. My goal is to do 20 miles by the end of summer. Love my new zeal for life.

I'm glad to meet you.  Welcome back.  How are you doing at two weeks out?

No real issues at all except being able to eat stuff most people wait a month for. My body only craves savory foods right now and no sweets. This is good except that protein drinks were not helping me. Re fried beans and bean and bacon soup with Greek yogurt have been great!

I still eat greek yogurt - almost every day - follow what your doc says and stay on your food levels to let yourself heal.  The first few months are an amazing transformation.  Glad you are feeling well!

A lot of people crave savory foods, especially with how many of the protein drinks, puddings, yogurt,  etc are so sweet and what not

ricotta cheese, a sprinkle of garlic powder, top with spaghetti sauce and some mozzarella...nuke it...and on the "pureed" stage it's like a noodless lasagna!  Very yummy change of pace!
