**Quick Saturday Roll Call***
I know it's late, but better than never, eh? this is the first I've even glanced at a computer all day. haha. I think it's a new record!
I'm POOPED!!! Got up fairly early, bought potting mix that I needed for the new "Topsy Turvy Tomato Planters" that I'm trying this year. Installed the large metal hanging things for them (which involved throwing an 8-lb sledge hammer more than a few times), then realized that the weight of the darned soil meant that I needed different/bigger hangers. So yet another trip to the store to get different pole and hangers. Luckily, nothing was wasted - I reused one of the bird feeder hangers and moved the feeders onto the lighter weight ones. So after schlepping an 80-lb bag of potting mix and 2 50-lb bags of compost, plus assorted metal poles, plus slinging the sledge, plus lifting the filled planters (about 30-40 pounds each, fully loaded would be my guess). I feel like that was a pretty good start to the day workout-wise.
Then cleaned the house, reorganized the bedroom (installed a revolving shoe tree so I can actually FIND the mates in less than an hour), cleaned the kitchen, went to Bed Bath and Beyond, and FINALLY, FINALLY convinced Eddie to get his new phone. The old one would die in about 8 hours and constantly would either take pictures inside his pocket or would spontaneously say in an eerie voice "Please say a command..." (at really odd moments). He was 6 months overdue for an upgrade and I've been nagging him since BEFORE he was due for it, so glad we finally made some progress on that.
I'm heading out to Kohls shortly for some kitchen stuff - realized I have $20 of Kohls cash that expires today - so that just won't do!
Tomorrow I've got a ton of things on my to-do list, starting early in the morning, so I may not get online until late again. Some jewelry work (commission) and taking my mom for groceries... may try to get to costco for a quick trip (kinda doubtful, though...). We'll see... we're going to head up to see Eddie's mom in the afternoon when he gets off work.
if I were preggers, I'd say I was nesting... but I'm not, so I'm just going to enjoy this nice burst of energy and initiative. :-)
Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday night!
Karen

I'm going to post this copy of my post from yesterday cuz I just saw the responses to my post there and want to be sure everyone sees my -- response.
I TOTALLY knew you were kidding! I was just feeling so crappy!! So selfish of me. Before long, I too will be joining in on ripping on Eric. Sounds like good times. (beware, I can jeer with the best of 'em).
My daughter just wrote an essay for Emergency Responder Appreciation. If her piece is chosen she gets to read it on 9/11 at a memorial here and win some prize. My dad was burned in a gas well explosion and they saved him. So, between rehashing that story, the bus accident, pms, lack of good chocolate to overcome the pms....I'm feeling lower than the dustbunnies under my couch.
I never doubted that you appreciate them as well. I can tell you're a good person (good Steffi - said while petting your shoulder![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/wink.gif)
Thank your husband for me and ...
Pam - Thank you in advance of appreciation week...you too are awesome...you AND Eric!![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/wink.gif)
OK, so, I got my eyeliner tattoo touched up today and it hurts like HOLY CRAPPE!!!! Stopped at an Irish Pub we'd never been to...went to the beach for an hour and watched our 5 year old run LOOPS around us. (she drank my cappuccino smoothie and her dads this morning) We had to let her run off the energy. WHEW!!
Now back home, time to ice my eyes and sleep!
