***Finally Friday Roll Call***
ooops - forgive me. I was feeling morose. There was a school bus accident yesterday, 10 students on board, rear ended and the car went under the bus. The driver was killed. Students didn't see anything, nor get hurt, but the front page of the paper shows 'em all what it looked like. http://timesobserver.com/page/content.detail/id/530826.html? nav=5006
I was talking to my mom while she drove to work and she ended up being rerouted due to the accident. I was glad for the accident, because I REALLY needed the extra time to talk to my mom before she got to work. Then I found out the driver died. I've felt like crap for being "glad" there was an accident.
That's the reason for the thank you to all emergency responders (I don't know any personally, but, Eric on here). I feel like if I thank the right people it will make me less of a bad person.

OMG - I was just kidding of course - we just like to give Eric a hard time because - well...that IS what he does to us - BEWARE! :) And I do understand the emergency people out there - my husband is a Philadelphia Paramedic. He has saved many a life and has brought many crazed situations to a comfortable conclusion and I am VERY proud of what he does.
And - you are NOT a bad person....just because you needed some good old mom time?!?! Crazy - It is not like you WISHED for an accident to happen - and even if you did - my guess is that you do NOT have that power - oh if we could have that power! :) And the jobs that Eric, Pam and my husband do, (pam is an ER nurse), really do take care of the community. So - let the guilt go - you had nothing to do with it - nor did your mom! :)

I TOTALLY knew you were kidding! I was just feeling so crappy!! So selfish of me. Before long, I too will be joining in on ripping on Eric. Sounds like good times. (beware, I can jeer with the best of 'em).
My daughter just wrote an essay for Emergency Responder Appreciation. If her piece is chosen she gets to read it on 9/11 at a memorial here and win some prize. My dad was burned in a gas well explosion and they saved him. So, between rehashing that story, the bus accident, pms, lack of good chocolate to overcome the pms....I'm feeling lower than the dustbunnies under my couch.
I never doubted that you appreciate them as well. I can tell you're a good person (good Steffi - said while petting your shoulder ;-)
Thank your husband for me and ...
Pam - Thank you in advance of appreciation week...you too are awesome...you AND Eric! ;-)

First of all, JoAnn said I was awesome. Kinda.
Secondly, I do believe I sent you a text on Mother's Day, which should count for something.
Thirdly, no one gave Pam crap during Nurse's Week.
Fourthly, I searched the internet far and wide for a National Graphic Design week. Nothing. That's not right and someone ought to write a letter.
Fifthly, Liz... you are so awesome that the recognition you deserve could not possibly fit into one little week. It would have to be a year long thing, at least.
