Great post, really hit the daily battle we all face - I find weekends easier than work - with birthdays and snacks and the chocolate people have on their desks.. damn them!! 

Don't beat yourself up or you let it win - I like that you said "try" to tear me down - that means you are not letting it tear you down - You are a winner! :)
