Online book group - any interest?

I'm interested in reading a Geneen Roth book - either Breaking Free From Emotional Eating or Women, Food and God (her newest, and recommended by Nicole.)

Is there any interest in doing an online book group about one of these books?

I did this on another forum years back. Here is how it worked:
Anyone can participate, as much or as little as you like.
We would "discuss" one chapter per week.
A "kickoff" post would go up on a given day each week and participants would simply respond in that thread. I would be willing to do this each week.
There is no obligation to post on every chapter, or to read the book at any given pace.

I would certainly be interested in your collective thinking on either of these books!

Here are Amazon links so you can take a peek:

normally I would be all over this. We did something similar last year with the Beck Group book - we met in the chat room once a week and discussed things. BUT with the baby coming I know I can't commit.

I would love to read the books though so keep us posted and maybe I can participate as I can

Lynn,

That sounds like a great idea.  Since school will be over soon I would have more time to do this.  i am definitely interested.  Thanx for posting this.

Ok, so I'll ask.  Clearly the one is a "chick" book, what about the other one?  I would participate in this, but not sure the Women, Food, God book is for me.  I mean, clearly I am interested in 3 things, but I don't think that's what the book is all about.  If you decide to do that one and do the other one at another time, let me know and I will gladly participate.  It kind sounds like fun and I'm almost done reading I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell.  Let me tell you, we could have some real lively discussion about that book!

I am having flashbacks of singing "In heaven there is no beer" with my Grandfather... It was the 2nd song I learned, the first being the Marine Corps anthem lol

I knew I loved you Liz!  My Pappy was a Marine and I too learned all about the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli at an early age.  Although he has been gone for several years, there is still a Marine Corps flag (a 3' x 5' flag) hanging in the kitchen at my Mammy's house.
