I jogged tonight!!!!!!
You go girl!!! I dream about jogging or running but have never attempted it - then again I also dreamt about riding a real bicycle again after my surgery and I have done that, so maybe someday I will be brave enough to attempt a short jog on my treadmill (when it's fixed!!). Your post is great encouragement for me to try it.
You rock! Kathy
ps: Good thing you're starting to jog so you can run away from would-be suitors at the grocery store if you have to!

Great news! That was something that also intimidated the heck out of me... but I worked up to the point where "just" walking didn't get me to that nice sweaty tired feeling any more, so I started adding little segments of jogging to my walks, then eventually connected those little sections into larger sections. I still can't RUN a full 5K without walking major segments, but I'm a heck of a lot better at it than I was a year ago this time... And I find that my body actually ends up "craving" that tired sweaty tingly feeling that comes from a nice jog, which is still s surprise every time it happens. ;-)
Keep it up!

Karen,
I wish my body would crave that good feeling I hear so many of you including Gene talk about after working out. I don't get it. don't know if I'm still trying to level out my B-12, Iron, etc. Then after that is all working and in sync the gym rat in me will come bursting forth. For now the challenge of trying a new button on the treadmill - the workout I get at curves is good for me. I do have to force myself to pull into the parking lot to go to curves each night. I'm always so tired when I get done work it's tough not to drive past and just come home and sleep many days. I was good for about 2 weeks after my B-12 shot, but now I'm loosing strength again as well as getting that exhaustion back. My PCP wants me to go for my B-12 shots every month but when I see him in two weeks I'm guessing my blood work will show I need the shots monthly. I'm also looking forward to see if my iron has improved yet as well.
Thank you for those encouraging words!
