I know.. right

It's great when you have a doctor like that you feel comfortable with - I've been seeing mine for at least 15 years - so did my sister, mother and several of my friends. She's a great doctor and was really supportive of me having the WLS because I had to see her (Dr Boe's orders) before going thru it as well. She's very pleased with my results altho she says I could lose more, and she's right, but she's a stick and always has been!

Doctors are funny because when I had to go off the pill and talked to her about having my tubes tied she said tell your husband to have a vasectomy - it's much easier for him and you've been through enough already - go doc!!

I started seeing mine when I first found out I was pregnant.  The girl *****ferred him to me was pretty funny.. she was like OHH I have the best OB in the world.. he's nice, funny, he'll even sing to you when you're in labor.. one thing though... and then she whispered.. he's black.. ROFLMAO!! Then, I had to take her to my desk to show her a picture of my donor.. we laughed for awhile about that..

He (doc) always asks for a picture of "his work".  The past few times, I've had her with me.. even better than a picture. 

He's funny!!

The last time I saw a male ob-gyn was devastating - I was having some serious bleeding problems (most likely due to me weight which wasn't even close to where I was when I had WLS) but this was a new doctor (because I had just been seeing my PCP for annuals), and this man (older) walks in the room - reads my chart - says "I don't need to examine you to figure out what's wrong - you're TOO FAT. Lose weight - you'll be fine." and then he turned around and walked out of the room. OMG Lisa I sat there for what seemed like an eternity before I burst into tears - a nurse came in and hugged me because apparently she knew EXACTLY what he said and said 'maybe you should find another doctor' - GEE, YA THNK?! That's when I switched over to a woman and swore I'd never see another male ob-gyn again - said to judge all of them by that jerks actions but it was something that really stuck with me.

WOW.. how awful that a medical professional can be so crude.  sorry you had that experience.  When I first started going to him, there were 2 men and 1 woman.  I saw them all through my pregnancy because of course you never know who you will end up with at delivery.  It ended up being him and I have always scheduled my visits with him.  I'm glad I did that from the start because neither of the other two are there anymore.  He has new partners.  I've always been happy with him.  He's a bit overweight himself, so I guess I can always count on the fact that he won't get on me about my weight.. LOL

Off to work this morning, then to Nodstrom Rack to return some things I bought that don't fit right..  I hate trying things on in the dressing room...  Need shoes.. all of mine are like clogs now because they fall off the back of my feet.. swollen feet and ankles were a plague (now gone - yipee!).

Then home to clean this pig sty of a home up a bit.. and do a little workout in the basement..

Not an exciting day by any means..and that is ok.

Good morning!

Another day of work ...then tutoring for an hour after school...then maybe going over to help my brother as he is moving today...then home to rest...I am just so tired--have not been sleeping well--keep having bad or disturbing dreams that wake me up and then it takes forever to fall back asleep....

Not much else on the agenda--may hit the supermarket to pick up some food and stuff...may not though we shall see how I feel at the end of the day..lol
