***Terrific Tuesday Roll Call***
Good Morning Trish & PA:
Trish I am so enjoying your sewing stories. I would love to have the time to sew I miss it greatly. Many years ago when I was young and my daughters were young I designed and sewed all our clothes. I loved it so thank you for sharing your sewing adventures!!!!!
Today I'm working 7:30 to 4. After work the gym, home to the treadmill, then to bed.
Last night had an interesting encounter at Whole Foods. I do not like grocery shopping without Gene, I am grocery store shelf challenged. Last night I had to go to the curtesy counter to request help getting something off the top shelf. The guy behind the counter said it would take awhile for him to get someone there, the guy checking out said he'd be right over to help me. After he got my boxes of tea down for me, he asked if I'd like to grab a cup of coffee with him. I haven't been asked to grab a cup of coffee in years. I gracesously thanked him and then said no thank you. It was nice, I couldn't wait for Gene to get home so I could tell him...

I love sewing so much, and had missed it when my machine was down, and I was in grad school. Some of the stuff I am making for Isabel are dresses and tops that are lined, and have ruffles. Between the ruffles and the linings, I am averaging a major rip-out every other garment. Hopefully, I will master these things soon, as I am going blind with the ripping out.
I am also addicted to yarn. Basically, Joann Fabric is like a bar to me...I can go in and spend a fortune easily.

I hear you. I love sewing so much when I went to college my first time I was attending The Art Institute of Philadelphia I was working on my bachelor's degree in fashion design. Then when I had to quit because my ex-husband didn't want me going to school, I worked in a sewing factory for 12 years and loved every minute of it. As I've aged my eyes also can no longer take the fine sewing and ripping out.
Yarn is another fascination of mine. I love to crochet and knit :-)

Trish, the Joann Fabrics near my mom's house in Michigan is a "superstore." I LOVE that store!!! Even thoguh i don't have a lot of time for crafting and sewing right now....wow, I could do some damage there!
Is there a JoAnn's superstore in the Philly area somewhere? Of course, not out here in Lanc. County. Exton maybe? Downingtown?

Nothing on my agenda today other than study and some laundry. It looks to be a gloomy, cold and rainy day out so no playing outside with kids.
I am feeling kinda bummed this morning, so hopefully a nice hot shower and kids perk me up!
