Now that college classes are over for a few weeks I decided to get away by myself for a couple of days.  I came up to my family's cabin. Today I decided to go to one of my favorite places on earth, Worlds End State Park.  I started by just sitting next to the creek and taking everything in.  It was so peaceful, just an awesome time.  After, I decided to go for a drive in the park to an area I never visited before.  I passed a waterfall and had to stop to take a picture.  I couldn't get a great picture from the road so I decided to climb down a little bit. Before I knew it I was at the bottom of the fall lol.  I should explain that when I was younger I would love to make my own paths and explore in the woods but I stopped when I injured my back and when I put the weight on.  It's been 10 years since I did anything like this. I just broke into tears when I realized I had found a part of me that I didn't even know I had lost =) I don't even know how to explain how I am feeling, It's was such a great afternoon.  Nothing like getting lost in the woods and finding yourself.. So happy to be me again <3

I am so thrilled that you got to discover a joyous part of yourself at such a beautiful place in nature.  That is awesome.  I have had similar experiences recently, as I have regained some health after months of dealing with herniated discs.  The joy of doing things, and experiencing such a wonderful scene as you did, is special.

Keep up the good work, and keep sharing your joy with us.

Trish

That is wonderful Holly!! I think as we get 'fluffier' we stop doing so many things that we actually forget what we can do now that we're not as fluffy anymore, so I'm glad it just happened for you and you didn't stop to think that maybe you couldn't do it - those are some of the best WOW's out there!!

Congratulations!

It's GREAT to be able to do things you used to.  WLS and weight loss can really open up a new world, or an old one in your case.  Glad you had fun and hope you have many more wonderful moments/experiences.
