***Monday Madness Roll Call***
I'm really cold since our furnace needs replacing. We hired someone, but who would have thought it would be this cold in May....anyway, sitting in my office with a space heater on, but at least it's starting to warm up. Not too much news today.
Hopefully, Liz will have the baby this week.
Have a great Monday everyone.
Debbie
I'm at wor****il 6pm and then off to the firehouse. Like others, very tired from a long weekend. I'm off tomorrow, with exception of coming in to work for 2 hours for an in-service on new cameras.
Good luck with your hell day / week, Pam. Who works like that? Going from job to job like that with no rest in between. Crazy I tell you.
Norm - thinking about you and your family today, best of luck to you.
Liz - come on already. I was really hoping for a Mother's Day baby.

To everyone else, I hope your Monday flies by as quick as the weekend did!
I'm glad to be starting this glorious week, just so that it can be over and onto the next weekend!
I've got a lot of nothing planned tonight. Going to have to walk tonight. With whom, I don't know. I hate to walk alone. It goes so much faster with someone else. It'll either be my bff, my dh or my dd...ooops, nope not my dd...she's upstairs sleeping, home sick. She used to get strep a lot, but she had her tonsils out. Shouldn't she be immune to strep?
Anyway, that's all. Now, to go post what I'm eating today.
Pam - best of luck with the week. Echoing Liz's sentiments - rest whenever you can, keep hydrated, and push the protein!
This weekend was a good one, in general, although eating-wise there were some "issues." Had a fantastic time Saturday night. My friend Mary (the one who lost her husband last fall) and her two sons joined me, Becky and Becky's boyfriend Eric for dinner and saw Iron Man 2. We had a hoot of time. I had taken a little baggie with some almonds in case I got "munchie" during the movie and it worked beautifully.
Katie got home from college for the summer on Saturday (WOO HOO) so my little family is "complete" again. What a great feeling. Eddie had to work Sunday, so Katie and Becky and I drove up to see his mom in the hospital that morning. She's doing better - still has a long road back, but is getting stronger every day. Now if we could get her to stop fighting everything the doctors tell her she needs to do (take medicine, eat better, have rehab therapy). Sigh.
Sunday, Eddie had made reservations for us at a restaurant we really like but didn't realize all that they had that day was a buffet. Yikes. I managed to find things that were "friendly" but had some issues with portion control. However, all in all, in looking back on what I actually ate, it was more "a bite of this and a bite of that" rather than a large amount of anything. I definitely ate more than I should have overall, but learned some good coping lessons from it. We had a fun time, at least, and I didn't let fretting over the food derail that.
Anyway, tonight is the last class of the semester - final critique and final casting. I love my class, but it will be nice to reclaim my Monday nights for a while.
I hope you all have a great day. And can we please collectively wish for some WARMTH? (Can't believe we had frost last night and I had to cover or bring in my plants. Sheesh.)
Karen
Monday and back to work again Didn't I just leave here? Well the weekend was non stop as always.
Mother's day was nice although missing my Mom I spent the day with my Aunt Mary (Mom's sister) we did the Breast Cancer 5k and I was so proud of my Aunt for doing the whole thing. After teh walk we had breakfast with our whole crew of walkers on Team JoJo's Footloose Crew (Kim Burke;s Mom is a survivor). I had surorised my Aunt and her daughter showed up withher grandkids then after breakfast we went home rested then made our way to Parx Casino for some fun I ended up winning so it was time to go!
We then took my Aunt out to dinner then once home Dennis and I crashed got in our PJ's and watched Tv.
Tonight I have to go to the market to get some stuff then home to fold and put laundry away.
I am always seriously debating if I want to start getting my nails done again I have had the acrylics off since December but think I may return to getting them done.
Well good thoughts going out to everyone and enjoy the day!
I am running late with my roll call because I had technical difficulties. My keyboard got disconnected from the tower during some rearranging so I could hang my curtains.
Anywho, Mothers Day was awesome, the Phillies game was a lot of fun, cold though. Then, Chris helped me start hanging my curtains, and I finished after I dropped him off at the train station in Trenton.
Today, I already walked Utley down by the river, and went to WalMart to get a piece of fabric I was missing for a dress for the princess. The rest of the day will be sewing and making my AA meeting.
Have a great day.;
