***Monday Madness Roll Call***
Hmmm...well today is a little uncertain!
I had planned to be in the office in Philly today but can't log onto our server. The system was to have been replaced/updated last week when I was away, but with not having any home access, it makes me wonder if I can get on at the office. And I am NOT going to commute 2 hours only to find I don't have access. So I am waiting to call in and see what's up....then will take the 8:30 train in if I am going. Otherwise it's a "work offline" day and go in later in the week. No troubles...there is plenty to do either way!
I'm home after 8 days away - 4 days on the road for work, and 4 days visiting family in Michigan. It is SO good to be home!
Big news - I lost another 1 1/2 lbs. for a total of 95 lbs. lost! Not bad for eating away from home...although I was able to keep food in my hotel room and really didn't go far afield from my normal routines at all. My "biggest" meal was a Saturday night cookout at my son's - organic burgers, mixed berries, salad, and corn on the cob. Yummy!
Other highlights of the family time:
4 year old soccer practice
Cuddling granddaughters and tucking them in, and hearing them say their prayers
Shopping with my daughter
Son and DIL's wedding featured on a wedding website (more on that later)
Seeing my 92 yr old mom be absolutely delighted with an evening at my son's - hearing him play guitar and sing to her
Work time? Well I was busy, and all the meetings went well, but nothing to compare to the family moments.

We're still in Lancaster. Having a great visit with my mom. The drive up was interesting yesterday. I think it was the Mother's Day Convoy. Not sure why they have it. A little help here, Lancaster peeps?? The traffic was something, especially in the other direction. A lot of people along the highway, watching and waving to the truckers. Big groups of Amish were out to watch, which was neat to see.
Nothing planned for today. I'm hoping the doctor's office calls me back so I can schedule my consult and surgery.

Ohhh yes the convoy!
It's every Mother's Day...the truckers do it as a fundraiser for the Children's Miracle Network. And yes, the Amish come en mass with lawn chairs to watch. Were you on 222?
Ties up traffic something fierce...and still strikes me as a funny little tradition around here, admittedly for a very good cause.

Thanks for the info, Lynn! I read the article in today's paper, too, which was really interesting. I first encountered the convoy a couple of years ago, but gas prices were really high then so not too many trucks took part in it. Yesterday was a much more amazing sight! Yep, we were on 222. Mom lives near the Lancaster airport, so it's the best route for us.

I personally am changing up my schedule a bit because I got 'lazy'. So am getting back on the wagon and putting a schedule together. (its sad but I soooo need a schedule).
back at gym this am and plan on finding a swimsuit (gasp) so I can start swimming at the Y until my pool opens up.

LOL But I will take the quiet over the madness of the end of the school year which is slowly creeping up on me....lol
Today has me working till 2:30 ..no tutoring group today..yay! Then off to the dollar store and then home to mark some tests I didn't get to over the weekend (i.e. i was too busy relaxing!!! LOL)
Tonight may possibly watch a movie or read my book...or maybe just fall into bed early...
That is pretty much it...short work week due to a holy day this week...so yay on that front!!!

I am off to my last algebra lecture before my final on Wednesday. I really thought I had NO chance of passing the course. I even signed up to re-take it for the summer. However, given my high "B" on my last exam, the professor emailed me and said if I can get an 80 or higher on wednesdays exam, I will pass the course! So I am excited and stressed all at the same time.
After class, I will be coming home to do some chores and studying. I plan to study as much as possible the next 2 days.
