Good Morning Trish & PA;

Trish happy mother's day and happy mother's day to all the mom's and mom's to be out there!!!

Yesterday was AWESOME!!!!  Graduation was amazing - I cried after I received my diploma and when they called my name announced I was Magn *** Laude - I didn't think I had it...OMG what an amazing thing to hear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The weather was great except for the wind that kept blowing my cap into the back rows, but that made for some exciting times when the other rows were trying to figure out where to send the cap back to.  Even the bobby pins didn't help.  Thank God the cap stayed on when I went up on the stage - I was envisioning the cap flying off just as I shook the deans hand.

After graduation went out to dinner with my wonderful hubby, dad, daughter's, and son-in-laws.  It was so great to have acheived my current weightloss to be able to walk in the procession without getting out of breath or hurting.  then to be able to walk up on stage without huffing and puffing and not being able to breath.  I was not the fat old lady as I had feared a year ago.

Today waking up we didn't have any plans and were deciding on traveling to some flea markets or what we wanted to do.  My sis-in-law called and said they kidnapped Gene's mom after the Phillies game last night and brought her up to their house.  She was sitting there by herself drinking her coffee and thougth it would be nice to invite us all up to her house to celebrate mother's day.  So I guess we have plans for today :-)

Hope everyone enjoys this COLD day - but the sun is beautiful...

HAPPY MOTHER's DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning all.

Happy mothers day to all of you mothers out there.  My family is heading to Jersey to see  my 91 year old grandmother.  I, still being sick, am staying home.  Can't risk giving this miserable cold to her.  The one good thing about being sick this past week, is that I have lost 7 pounds.

Today is also Mollys 12th birthday....she has outlived the life expectancy for a Newfoundland...so this birthday actually makes me very sad.  Up until about a month ago, I figured she had another few good years left in her, but lately, I am not so sure she is going to be around this time next year.  Her bladder is going....she even pees in her sleep sometimes, she can't see in the dark anymore...i think she has glaucoma...or cataracts...she just seems over all to be showing her age.  But, as long as she is happy and not in pain, I can deal with the sight issues and the peeing and the slowing down.   Anyway...we celebrated with doggie icecream this morning...they love that Paws Icecream for dogs.  Molly, always the lady, wraps her paws around the cup and licks it out til its gone...Tucker, on the other hand....pig that his is...thinks the entire thing, cup and all, is to be inhaled.  Ive seen him swallow it whole before.   This time, I popped his out of the cup and cut it up so he couldnt eat it in one bite.

Anyway, I think I will spend my day mowing my lawn and running some errands that I forgot to do yesterday.  My Oreck lost the battle of the dog fur this week and burned through the belt....if I dont get to the oreck store soon, we are going to drown in dog fur LOL

Have a great day!

Guess it's afternoon now, huh.. Happy Mother's Day to all moms, grandmothers, fur mommies, mommies to be and dad's who act as mommies.

My plan for the day was to just lay around and veg for a while and then guilt Siehara into doing some more cleaning in her room.  Well, I woke up around 8:20 and got a reminder on my phone about Pilates at the gym.  I'm so glad I have that programmed in.  I went over for Pilates and Body Pump.  I feel good that I made myself go over and that I have it programmed in my phone.

Siehara had actually done a good chunk of cleaning in her room between last night and this morning, so I really don't need her to do too much more.  I do want her to organize her clothes and work on her closet, but we'll see how the day goes.

She bought me a beautiful purple butterfly necklace and a nice card.  She gave them to me when we got home from the gym and actually allowed me to kiss and hug her without pulling away.  That in itself was the best mother's day gift I could ask for.  The necklace was just an added bonus!

Here's a pic of the necklace.. a little blurry.  The words on the card holding the necklace say:
"This pretty little butterfly reminds us everyday that life and all its beauty is special
                              in every way. "

Now, a friend of hers if here for a few hours and I am in my room just relaxing.  I was starting to fall asleep when she asked if her friend could come.  Stayed awake long enough for her to be dropped off.. I think I'm going to lay back down and nap for a bit, or at leas****ch a good movie.  When her friend leaves, we will head over to the cemetery to visit my mom and grandmother.

Later tonight, I will actually make that flank steak from the other day.  I ended up putting it back in the freezer, but took it out so I can make it tonight.

Hope everyone enjoys their day today no matter how you are spending it.

Well, last night my normally awesome brother called me and ripped me a new one for being 45 minutes late to mother's day brunch last year. We've never fought before and I actually thought he was kidding. Turns out he was really pi$$ed...about something that happened 364 days prior. So, after he yelled and swore at me and I sat on the phone with my jaw in my lap and blinked in bewilderment...I cried...a lot.

So, that's how I kicked off my Mother's Day. But, my kids knew I was sad and they greeted me with drawings and hugs and a Click coffee smoothie in bed. My dogs hugged me up. My husband brought me a rose and a sugar free coffee from the Country Fair.

Then we went to the brunch buffet I was apparently late for last year. We got there 15 minutes early. or so I thought. Turns out they made the reservations for 12:30. So, we were 45 minutes early. Try to keep Seek & Destroy still when they're hungry and know there's food around the corner for 45 minutes. Sheesh, my brother fell right off his pedestal this time!

Ate my $17 bite of salmon, 3 tortellini, 2 bites of meatball, 2 skinny slices of ham and some green beans...YUM! Oh, and 2 grapes, 2 bites of watermelon and 4 cantelope squares. over the course of 2 1/2 hours. Really, I think I paid for rental space we were there so long.

Now we're home, one of my daughters made me a menu and she's serving me. Up next...sugar free ice cream with sf caramel and a small squirt of sf hersheys. Now THATS YUMMMM!

Happy Mother's Day to everyone out there! We all deserve some pampering today.

Happy very late Mothers Day to everyone. Trish looks like you saw a great game today - hope you had a good time.

I did a lot of cleaning and cooking today trying to stay busy and keep my mind occupied. It worked until my daughter called and then I broke down. First Mothers day without mom and a tough one. Felt terrible laying all that on my daughter tho. Tonite is better.

Dog started acting really weird today and we weren't sure why but then realized that he was uooaef over seeing the big suitcases coming out because that usually means we're going away and leaving him home alone. Not this time - he's in for a big road trip!

Oh found out my niece is out of rehab a month early and back with her husband. We'll see how that all works out.

Omg I'm having a major hot flash - have to find a towel!!

Happy very very late Mothers day wishes to all the mommies out there!  We brought Mothers day brunch to my parents house today.

My dad got released from the hospital today :) - he is feeling much better - he does need to have surgery, but that will be a few months out yet - after he is stronger.

Mom is doing well too.. so, I am feeling much less stressed

We came home and trimmed bushes, then had chicken piccata (mmm) -

hugs and kisses to all - and to all a goodnight!
