OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!! A HUGE WOW!!!!!!

I went roller skating........OMG!!!!  It was soooo much fun!!!!!  Haven't been on skates in at least 10-15 years - well - that is not entirely true - about 7 years ago - I tried on a pair at my sons birthday party - proceeded to fall directly on my ass - and took them off - that doesn't count right?!?!

Today was Emily's 8th birthday party - at the local Roller Rink - (Palace for all you Philly natives)  **** Palace for all you REALLY OLD Philly natives )

Larry got out there with the kids and told me get on skates and come out - and I of course said - I can't - and used some excuse that I had to stay with the stuff at the table...blah blah blah...Then my girlfriend showed up and we HAD to talk about some FUN  things that I have been doing lately, so she said she will only talk to me if I get skates on - (She knew I REALLY wanted to talk!)  Stop laughing....it was JUST the incentive I needed!  I went and got skates - stood up and slowly found my balance...no one looked at me like I was going to fall on them and suffocate anyone....as a matter of fact - no one really cared that I was on skates - except of course MY FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!  I will be uploading pics onto facebook and then will be BEGGING Lisa to show me how to uplead them on here!   I got the hang of it - and....and this is the best part....I ENJOYED it!!!!!!!!

Nothing hurt, I was skating like I did in college and I think I looked kinda good doing it - not some crazy fat lady trying to be like her kids.....(Well - still the crazy part....)

And on another note - This is an "A HA" kind of moment.  My very good friend kept saying things to me jokingly about my new friends.  I would just poo poo her not knowing what the hell she was talking about.  Saturday night were at a Synagogue fund raiser and I have not seen her husband in a VERY long time - he too lost over 100 pounds - not through surgery - but tht's OK, I still like him...  Anyway - he was joking with me - I seem to have that effect on people - and he said - "Yeah - it's nice that we don't see you anymore because you are with your NEW friends."  I again had no idea what he was talking about until it hit me - they totally meant you guys......OMG!!!!!  SOOOO funny - I feel like you have all been in my life for so long that I didn't even consider you all as my NEW friends.  And to be prerfectly honest - my life did start over on March 31, 2009 and you were all a part of it - so truly you have ALWAYS been part of my life.....

I might have to add that to my list of things to do as I haven't skated since I was 19.

Congrats on your WOW.  Skating you go girl.  ( I would still be the one who falls on my butt, even though I have lost some weight.)

I know I'm not one of the new friends.. I'm your long lost sister from another mister!! 

I have not been rollerskating in a few years.  I do think that is something I will need to do too.. I think after horseback riding, that should be our next outing!

AWESOME WOWS!!! I haven't been skating since 9th grade....long story. I will tell you about that sometime. Anyway, am I a new friend or an old friend since we have known each other since HS, but weren't friends then but are now. What do you think??? Are you totally confused?

No matter what I am glad we are friends now....
