Western PA Cooking/Support Group and Interest PICNIC
We Are Having a PICNIC!!!
This is going to be our first ever RNY Gastric Bypass Cooking/Support Group AND interest event. Yes, I said event because I have teamed up with my surgeon to invite more people to this group! The picnic will be for people who have had, are in the process of having or are looking into having RNY Gastric Bypass surgery. Families are encouraged to join us!
I have invited a representative from Bariatric Advantage to come out and give out information and FREE SAMPLES and also a guest speaker!
Lets get down to some details, shall we?
WHEN? Sunday June 6th, 2010
TIME? 11am-4PM
WHERE? North Park (Wexford/ North Hills) (the pavilion is yet to be set but you'll know as SOON as I do!)
WHO? Anyone who has had, who is in the process of having or who is looking into having RNY Gastric Bypass Surgery and their families!
This is going to be a covered dish event. Please include nutrition information for your dish and a recipe (if you feel like sharing your recipe!)
We will still have cooking demonstrations, a meeting, taste tests and we'll even be having a Sugar Free Dessert Contest! Winner will recieve an AWESOME prize!

Volleyball
Kickball
Three Legged Race

(There is a playground for the kids to play too)
Usually these meetings are free, however because of pavilion rental and other expenses, we're going to have a $5 per person $10 per family fee.
I need everyone who plans on attending to send me an email with how many people they're bringing and what kind of dish they are bringing! Also, I will have a small pre-picnic meeting for anyone who wants to help me set up some things!

OMG that sounds like sooooooo much fun! I was contemplating seeing if A) I had off and B) making the trip just for the fun of it...but I looked up Wexford pa on randmcnally.com from my house...and it looks like I'm about 5 hours away! That might be a little TOO much, lol
