Now there's a soapbox I'd be GLAD to stand on with you!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

I looked into Dr Boorse, but my insurance covered Dr Harrison in his practice. He was great, had great results, he really helped me in all my decision about surgery. I started my journey thinking lapband, but changed to RNY. I am really pleased with my results. I went through the weight loss management center that Lehigh Valley Hospital requires. If you need anything feel free to contact me.

I`m kind of curious. When I first came on the forum I sort of felt like I was reading a Barix forum. This I found after much research is an excellent clinic BUT not the only excellent place.

For me and many others we`ve found the same level of care without the outrageous distance. Teams and complete units dedicated to only WLS.  Danville, Hershey and Allentown all have super teams doing WLS along with after WLS support.

One thing the OP needs to ask is can I find the same level of service at a place that is logistically better for her and the people she will depend on for transportation

I am in East Greeenville and am scheduled for surgery with Dr. Holland from St. Lukes on May 25.  They have a bariatric center right at the St. Lukes Hospital in Allentown and they just moved their offices to Centronia Road.   Everyone from the surgeon, to the nurses, to the insurance person  are so friendly and welcoming.

They offer a support group every third Wednesday of the month, and it is packed to the gills with post op and pre op people.

Check them out on line and join thier forum.

If you have any questions, just let me know and i will be sure to help you out!

Dr. Boorse is great. I love that he not only does the surgery but truly cares about your progress and follows up on a regular basis. I just had a check in with him and he's still giving me awesome advice and i'm about 18 months post-op!

You can't go wrong with him.
