Good morning all - well now the stupid floating bar is stuck in HG's post so at least I can correct any typos I might have along the way - that thing is a PITA.

HG I haven't been sleeping well for a couple of months now - but for me I do believe I'm pre-menopausal because I haven't had my TOM since December. I can handle the minor hot flashes but the sleepless nights are a killer and tylenol PM only does so much. Alcohol doesn't help, that only makes me more restless. I have my annual check-up next week - maybe my doc can offer some advice (or better drugs!).

I also had prissy pouch last night - I blamed it on the sf ice cream I got at Brewsters - might be sugar free but is still too rich for my pouch - next time I ask for 2 doggie cups - one without a doggy cookie. Went to bed last night at 9:00 and threw an extra blanket on top of myself due to chills, but woke up feeling 100% better.

I'm at work today - we're having pizza lunch - if this sounds familiar my office group LOVES free food - today we are celebrating our 2 million step march that we held last year as part of our company healthy initiative.

This weekend will be spent doing house stuff - my nephew painted the garage so we're getting shelving tonight to store my Xmas boxes on - that will probably take up the better part of tomorrow since there is a lot of stuff in that garage that needs to be tossed. Sunday will find me cleaning and helping hubby put the downstairs back together. That's my big excitement for the weekend!

Hope everyone enjoys the beautiful weather we're having.

Kathy

Good Morning Everyone.

First off I want to extend prayers to both Nicole and Lisa today as they go through their respective funerals.  You both have been in my thoughts as I have been reading the boards and my condolences go out to everyone in both families.

HG -- I'm so sorry that you have been feeling crappy recently and hope that sleep finds you soon.  Feel better.  And you aren't the only one who is having issues with the new chat bar.  When I logged on late last night it started for me and I got so annoyed with it that I gave up, logged off and tried to go to bed.

Today for me turned out to be quite busy.  I"m sitting at breakfast now and as soon as I finish I am headed for a PT evaluation.  When I had the follow-up for my hip yesterday it was determined that although I'm doing really well I could benefit from some strengthening in the left thigh ... since I'm still limping when i walk without the cane.  After PT I have a few errands to run then it's off to see about my shoulder.  I have been having problems with it for quite some time.  So we will see what's happening with that.  Then this evening I will have a girls night with a couple of friends for dinner and shopping.  So although the day starts off kinda crappy it will get better by the end of the night.

Hope everyone has a good day today and if you are traveling, whether for work or something else be careful out there.

Have a great weekend and Happy Mother's Day.

Nicole and Lisa, I am thinking of you today as you attend the funerals of those close to you.

I am in Michigan until Sunday. Today is spent at my daughter's house. Woke up with my 2 little granddaughters snuggling...terrific!

We are making Mexican food for dinner and having my mom and sister come down and join us. I will meet them halfway and drive them into Ann Arbor because they don't really know how to navigate the downtown area. We are within easy reach of Michigan Stadium - brings back wonderful college memories to me!

And it's CHILLY here! I walked a couple of miles this morning before the rain started, but I was well adjusted to the warm PA weather of the last couple of weeks. What a shocker!

Tomorrow I'll be at my son's house for dinner, and that will make for a great mother's day weekend. Flying home on Sunday....I've been away for a full week and will be glad to get home again!

Food has been pretty easy - I just build situations with family that are VERY controllable and go from there.

The aggravation? My mother tried to give me some oversize caftan-style tops, in a size that was probably a 2X (I now wear a S or M top - these would literally fall off my shoulders). She ordered these from a catalog and went on and on about how great they would be for spring. Truth is, they are too big for HER too, so I don't know why on earth she ordered them. I told Mike and he says that the whole topic of my weight loss is probably more than she can take in. Probably true, Old patterns die hard. I was pretty direct and told her I simply wouldn't have use for those tops, and that if she liked them enough to order them, she should plan to keep them for summer.

Ugh...this floating chat/Sprint bar is ******g me off already!!! FIX IT OH!!!!

Working till 4:30 today, getting my youngest from the Softball game, taking her to a friends house for a sleep over. Then picking her up at 7am to work the church flower sale for Confirmation service hours. Then I'm working tomorrow myself, then going to watch Tommy wrestle in Wayne NJ......always a good time!!!

I did get some good new last night, I stopped to see my oldest daughter at her new job, she's an ice cream specialist, lol. Her boss told her she's doing amazing for being there just 2 days. She was alone last night and made 20 bucks in tips!!! I'm happy for her!!! Esp since she decided she didn't want to play softball her senior year because she wanted to work and earn some money for a new car!

Hope everyone has a great weekend and Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful Moms on here!!!

Friday is here but I am working tonight and tomorrow so not that big of deal to me.... Tonight I djing a junior prom and oh my the songlist they sent me. I spent two hours looking for all edited music because I will NOT play unedited music.  Then tomorrow I am doinga communion party and that is entertaining 30 kids for 4 hours. Yet if I must say so myself I do have a knack for it and keeping them under control at least for a few of those hours.

Tomorrw night once done we are heading to the Trenton Thunder baseball game to see Karen's son Connor sing the Nation Anthem we are hoping little Mason hangs on to make his arrival till then so Karen can see Connor sing.

Sunday on MOm's day we are doing the Breast Cancer 5k it is really special for me as my good friend Mary just lost her sister two weeks to breast cancer, plus Ma Ruth (den's mom) is a survivior. Plus we are walking on Kim Burke's Mom's team who is also a suvivior. Then we have a local diner catering breakfast so then we will see what happens...

Thoughts going out to all that need them ...

I got a new scale last night and now my weight is 6# heavier than it was on the other scale. I don't think I like my new scale. Actually, I hate my new scale. It is now my enemy. Until I'm 7# lighter!

One daughter says she weighs the same, the youngest weighs 3# less and the 11 year old weighs 2# more. Could it POSSIBLY be accurate?? It's Health-O-Meter from Walmart. Digital. Hate it.

Today's a super simple Friday. We ended up going out to dinner with the kids last night at perkins...tonight I'll have to cook. I don't like cooking like I used to. If I can't eat it, I don't want to cook it. Pretty selfish, but, it's my most recent issue.

Then we watch Ghost Whisperer with the girls tonight, it's "our thing" on Friday night. have popcorn. snuggle up. It's super chilly here. I saw a robin fly by the window with a coat on.

That's all I've got today. My thoughts are with those of you attending funerals. Hope your evenings can find you some happy distractions.

Don't worry about the scale, digital ones kinda suck.  Ours, which is pretty good I think, will weigh me at different weights each time I get on.  I generally do it 3 times in a row and take an average.  My in-laws have the same one and I am always a few pounds different on that one.  Scales suck anyway.

And really, in the big picture, no matter what scale you use, the number is still a LOT smaller than when you started this crazy journey...

That's funny...I weigh the same way. Except I weigh myself 3 times and take the lowest weight. I figure if it went that low...I must have been that low, if even for the moment.

The only thing that happened to my first scale is that I changed the battery. It was moody, I gave it new life...it died. Traitor! I'm really bitter about it. I could have at least eaten something yummy to gain weight rather than spend $18 to gain it!
