***WTF is going on around here Wednesday Roll Call***
Eric,
Boy - you are SO right. We do need some good news around here. Liz - the pressure's on!
Had a good night hanging out with Becky and Eric last night - we had dinner and a "late night" shopping expedition to Kohls. More importantly, we just had fun and did a lot of laughing and talking. I'm really looking forward to going to Disney with them in July - I think we're going to have a great time!
No real news on the MIL front. She's still on a ventilator and in ICU. SIL won't/can't tell us anything because she turns her cell phone off and won't answer her home phone (she's the hospital's primary contact, btw) because it "rings too much." I've offered several times now to help her in dealing with the docs and hospital, but she doesn't respond to the offers. HIPPA regs prevent any of the rest of us from getting info directly from the hospital, not from any deliberate attempt to exclude us, but because mom and her didn't bother to let them know that it was ok. Now SIL is having one of her meltdowns and mom can't talk, so that's not going to change. VERY frustrating. I think Eddie's going up there today to see if he can find out anything by being there in person.
Otherwise, I've got a quiet day of work planned - just hunkering in and programming all day. Trying to knock out this major program I've been working on for a while. Problem is that I'm "easily distracted" right now (oooh - a squirrel!) so prolonged concentration is hard. Ah well - gotta get it done.
I plan to go to the gym tonight either to swim or to do a weight workout. Not sure which yet.
Karen

Oh I feel it! lol Wait that's just the baby :)
SO glad that you had a good night with Becky and Eric.
Thoughts and prayers continue for your MIL. Have you tried calling the hospital yourself for info? When my FIL was in Doylestown I just called up, told them I was his daughter (left out the in-law part - they didn't question because the last name is the same) and they told me everything.

He tried... because his name's not on the HIPPA release, they won't tell him anything. However, SIL just called me (miracle enough). MIL is stronger today, and they're going to try and wean her from the vent later today. She's supposed to update me as that happens. Sounds a bit more positive than it's been lately, so keeping fingers crossed.
Thanks,
Karen
Thanks,

Hi all!
I'm late getting to post today. I was going to do it this morning but went out shopping instead. Yep, spent most of the day thrift shopping. Got 2 bags (trash bag size) for $33! (2 winter coats, jacket, 2 skorts, countless shorts and shirts, pants/shirt/shorts for Paul, golf sweater for Anson. Love thrift shopping!!!)
Sorry I have to add to the 'stuff' a lot of us are dealing with now, Eric! My weight loss has allowed us to discover a medical issue that probably would not have been found if I was still carrying around that extra 108 lbs. It will probably require surgery of some type, but the type will depend on my medical history and what limitations it sets up, my options, and what I'm most comfortable with. But given that, I'm sooo grateful to have found it before it got worse and also to understand the signs and symptoms I've had.
I hope everyone is having a great day!!!
