Trip WOW moments...
So I will not bore you all with the details of my trip but I had some incredible moments that I have got to share with you. First of all, I had no summer clothes that fit and besides a few t-shirts, had to buy almost all new clothing, including XL swimming suits. Last time I was in Aruba (4 years ago), I wore a 6XL swimsuit. WOW.
Also, skinny clothing takes up way less room in your suitcase. Another cool WOW. I hated flying before. Couldn't fit comfortably in a seat, needed an extender, hated the look as you walked up the aisle and people prayed you were sitting next to them. I sat in the middle, had tons of room, armrests down, with no extender. It was awesome and comfortable and I almost did a little dance in my seat. WOW.
So we're in Aruba and not to be mean, but it's so nice not being the fattest person somewhere. It was also nice to be comfortable walking around, in the heat and not getting tired or sweating my ass off and all that stuff. Very awesome, WOW kinda stuff.
We did a jeep tour to the more remote part of the island and saw some really cool stuff. We were in the desert, one of the things we stopped at was an old, deserted mine building that you could go inside. I went inside to check it out and it was pretty well falling apart, lots of rocks to climb and check things out. I started checking it out and next thing you know, I am on top, looking down the area where we parked. Not sure I would have felt comfortable enough to do that before, or could have. Definite WOW. No pics because my camera battery died. Think my Mom has some looking up at me and I'll need to get them.
Next part was the Natural Pool, where we snorkelled. Never did it before and it was completely and totally awesome. Had to climb down this stone trail sorta thing with some stairs. I could have probably done it before but it would have kicked my ass. Up and down was a breeze.

This is looking over at the Natural Pool. You had to climb over all these rocks, etc... and get into the pool. Was kinda tricky even now, but totally worth it. The snorkelling was awesome!
So besides swimming, lounging, drinking and eating mostly good stuff (I only gained 2lbs and attribute that to alcohol mostly). Before the trip, I decided that I needed to do something that I could have never done before. So I thought about it and thought about it and decided that parasailing was the answer. Now I am kinda afraid of heights and had no clue what to expect. I wasn't certain I was up to it, but another couple from our group (she was celebrating her 40th birthday) was going and they kept trying to talk me into it.

That's me, about 100' in the air and loving every minute of it. WOW! I mean holy freaking WOW. I was up there and looking around, enjoying everything I could see from up there and I thought to myself, WOW...this is it. This is what I needed. WOW. It was so peaceful and serene. Totally amazing.

This is me after landing back on the boat and getting disconnected. Totally amazing and one of the best experiences of my life. The finale of my big WOW moment.
This last picture was cute and a small WOW, but it is Erin and I sitting on a hammock. Not sure I would have trusted it before, but there we both are.

So thanks for sharing my WOW moments. We had a great time and I think a huge part of that is thanks to my WLS. Thanks for the support and friendship. Love you and missed you all!

The pictures are awesome and I am so happy for you and all of your wonderful WOW moments!! A 6XL down to an XL??? That is freaking amazing!!!
I remember my first time flying WITHOUT a seatbelt extender and it felt so good - I used to hate having to ask for one - trying to do it discreetly as to not draw more attention to my fat self - I do think that will always be one of my best wow moments - feeling comfortable (and normal) on a plane.
You have so many wonderful memories from this trip - take pride in all you've done for yourself and how successful you've been!
