support group in Central Bucks?
Hi Beth! I live in Raubsville and drive to Horsham everyday - right through Pipersville :)
I have a cooking class / support group once a month in my home - Karen G is hosting for May (I am pregnant and due in the next few weeks). You can check out that one! It's well worth it! Abington also does them in the old Warminster hospital building, not sure of the days though. Oh and there is Barix in Langhorne (right in the parking lot with the Oxford Valley Mall) I am sure Beth or Karen will confirm but the pre-op meetings are the 2nd Tuesday, Post-op are the 3rd wednesday and the big meeting is the 1st saturday.
Good luck and congrats on 3 years with your band!

Congratulations on your upcoming bandversary! And Welcome to Bucks County.
We have, as Liz mentioned, 3 Barix meetings per month in Langhorne and we'd love to see you there. We have an awesome lap band leader - Robin Rehr - who leads the breakout group for banders. I can put you in touch with her if you'd like - just PM me your email address. Takes me about 35 minutes to get there from Doylestown.
This month the cooking class will meet at my house on May 22nd. I'm just off 413 and Mechanicsville Rd, so am convenient to Pipersville. It will start at noon and run until whenever people feel like leaving (usually people trickle out around 4 - 5, but you can leave whenever you need or want - it's not a formal "class"). There's no fee, but there is a jar for anonymous and completely voluntary donations to defray the cost of supplies. You can bring ingredients and a recipe if you want to share - we just ask that it be WLS-friendly (low fat, low sugar) and that you're willing to share the recipe when we all go ga-ga over it ;-). (If you email me the recipe in advance, I'll print it and include it in the packet for handout on the day of the class.)
So welcome "into the fold" - we'll be happy to get to know you!
