Newly Post op, Question about lump in throat feeling?

Hi guys,

I am 10 days out and have been doing well (other than a bit of a leaking incision which I am going to have the doc check tomorrow).  Just switched to pureed foods this morning.  I had a scrambled egg that I mashed up really good and chewed well also.  It seems to go down just fine, but I didn't fini**** was full.  For the past few hours I feel like I have a lump in the back of my throat.  It is driving me crazy.  Doesn't really hurt, it is just "there".  For lunch I decided to back to soup, just in case.  I have been having my liquids and also had a cup of warm decaf tea to soothe it, which it did.
Any ideas and suggestions?  I am wondering did I eat too much or too fast? Could it have been that?  I can't imagine egg being stuck?
Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

I still get that feeling when i'm FULL.  If its the same as me it will go away as your food digests.  Some days I can't eat my 1/2 cup without feeling it.  Especially if its dense food

it feels a bit better now, but this happened at 8am and it is odd that I still have a little feeling...I really think I may have eaten a bit too much egg or something....live and learn.

thanks for the response!

Hi Michele,

In the early days, I got that feeling when i was 'full' or had eaten a little too fast.

And I've heard from a lot of people that eggs are a problem, especially early out.  I didn't have that problem, but know of plenty of people who do.
