Asking for help...

Thanks for the warm welcome Maura....I'm going to plan on coming to the June Saturday meeting! This support group sounds awesome!!!

Ok  thanks Lisa.....I just did a Mapquest...it's about an hour from me! I'm going to try to get to the June meeting on a Saturday. No way I can get there during the week. Let me know if you're going to go maybe we can meet for lunch before?

It takes me about an hour also.  I'd love to get together for lunch.  As of now, I am planning to come to the June meeting, as well.  I'll let you know for sure closer to the time.

Lisa...how old is your daughter?

my lovely daughter who is as tall as I am is 11 going on 21 or 2 depending on the day. 

There are a ton of pics of her on my FB pages. 

She gives me a lot of stress, but since I can't throw her out the window or sell her to gypsies I guess I gotta love her!

My youngest is 14 and is taller than me too...and I'm afraid is going to have my weight issues too! Something we're working on! What does your daughter like to do? What are her interests? Maybe we could meet up one day over the weekend and do something with the girls?

Mine is also headed in the wrong direction on the scale.  We are also working on it.  She likes things that don't require exercise.. well, no.. let me not say that.  She takes dance and loves it.  I have her in Girls on the Run and she tolerates it. 

She is up for most things.  She likes going to the mall most of the time.  She is very into fashion design.  She draws dresses.. now she just needs to learn to sew. 

We go bowling, ice skating, she might do roller skating, movies, whatever.

Let me know! I'm sure the girls would have fun together.

My daughter likes to walk with me...altho she'll come home and want chips after that. We're working on it too...its so hard cause I don't want to shove it down her throat but I also don't want her to go thru all the struggles I did, esp in high school.

Kassidy loves softball and is going to go out for the volleyball team next year in high school. Her sister is tall, skinny, blonde straight hair, cheerleader...every opposite of Kass....so Kass is constantly in Kourtney's shadow...I'm trying my hardest to keep her eating better and exercising...she loves the Wii but gets bored...LOL
