Hey Kimi! Welcome to our happy family.

I have been in a slump, too.  Also, not a bander.. but I would have to say weigh and measure everything.  Can you go back to the basics you were given when you were fresh out of surgery?   Since, I had RNY, I am doing a modified pouch test.  That will probably not work for you, though.  But, I would definitely say to weigh and measure and maybe try to change things up a bit as far as diet and exercise.   Can you get a fill or unfill or whatever they do to help with tightness?

They definitely did not operate on our heads, only our stomachs.. Hang in there!!

Hey Kim.
What do you mean by pouch test?  I have a few ideas what it means but rather than guessing I figured I would just ask.
thanks

The 5 day pouch test is a way to retrain your brain when you find yourself off track.  You will hopefully never need to do this.  You definitely will NOT need to do this anytime soon since you have not even had surgery yet.  Some people swear by this, others don't agree at all.

This is the website.  You don't have to buy anything.  There are links that explain the plan to you.  Again, this is not for a new post-op at all.  It gets others back to basics.

Hi Lisa.....I don't think I need an adjustment, I'd be too loose if I got an unfill and waaay to tight for a fill. So I know it's me and I just need to recomitt to my plan!

I'm going to go back thru all my post op paperwork and get back on track this weekend. Also I have to get back to exercising.....that is a thorn in my side! Grrrrr

Hi Kimmie,

I also had RNY not a band but yes measure foods, protein goals are set by your doctor to follow so Iwoudl go by what they tell you there.

But if you can make it on Saturday to Barix in Langhorne we have an amazing support group leader for the Lap Band. Robin Rehr she will be 2 years out this month and has lost over 100+ pounds and very knowledgeable about the lap band. We meet from 12-4 and you the first half of the meeting we break down into small groups then the second half we all come together as one group for support.

You are right the WLSurgiries fix our stomachs but not our heads. We need to do the work on them and it is on going.

Thanks Beth!!!

I would love to come to one of your support meetings, unfortunately I will be away this coming weekend. Is there a website or a constructed date/time for the support meetings? I would also need the location address for directions.
