Mornin All...

Today is a busy day for me.  Getting my resume printed and getting ready to go to a job fair at Delaware Park today for table games dealers so hoping that turns out well.  then we have to run to Sprint and get Robb's phone transferred to a spare phone since he lost his .... again....  Then it's home to change to make soup for dinner tonight and strawberry cannolis.  Then it's time to head out for the last week of winter bowling league. 

So need to get started.  Everyone have a great day and Pam -- you and your family are definitely are in my prayers.

I am seriously considering saving for a new computer...m laptop is just COMPLETELY corrupted--I have to have it professionally fixed whichh will most likely run a few hundred dollars and for that price I may as well save and just get one of those little netbooks...my puter at school is cranky and sometimes we have internet access and sometimes we do not...uggggh

anyways..today I am teaching, then tutoring, then working on Progress Reports and marking tests tonight...then to bed...I am beyond exhausted these days...

Are you aware that Apple products are discounted for teachers?  Bought my son a brand new Macbook last summer and it was jammed with upgrades - got a GREAT deal because I was a teacher.  Try that!

I will def look into that...may take me awhile to save but could be worth it....

Steffi is right and I think Dell also offers some good educator discount packages. A fix on a laptop - if it's more than a couple of years old - isn't really worth the money. Just be sure to recycle the old one!

Good Morning PA!

I have another non-eventful day of work planned for today, which is good.  I stopped on the way to work to get my lunch food for the rest of the week.  I enjoy having my lunch planned out, it makes it so much easier and it keeps me from straying to the dark side.  Plus, it saves me a ton of money.  I spent $12.00 this morning for 2 bags of salad, 4 cans of tuna, 1 bottle of balsamic vinaigrette, 1 bag of oranges and 1 bunch of bananas.  That will carry me through the rest of the week.  whoo hoo. 

Tonight has me watching biggest loser and hanging with the family.  That's all for now PA.

Good morning all - waiting for this stinking rainy, dank weather to get out of here and some sun to come our way. I need it bad. Finally slept last night with the help of a Tylenol PM - these sleepless nights are a killer.

At work today - is it full moon because I swear I have encountered more freaking arseholes on the road in the last two days than in months!! People literally backing up on main roads because they missed a turn? Putting on their right turn signal to go into a driveway only to decide at the last minute to make a U turn in front of me? And then had the audacity to flip me off because I blew the horn at them??!! ARGH - I need my vacation NOW!!

OK - sorry for the vent - anyway, not much new on my agenda for now...my daughter is flying in from Seattle today for her grandmother's funeral but sadly I doubt I'll see her while she's in PA. She did sort of hint at 'missing' her Philadelphia connection and spending a day or so with me - we'll see. Thanks to the generosity of a wonderful friend at US Air she is flying on a 'buddy pass' so she wouldn't have to pay if she needs to change her flights - it's a thought - will have to text with her and see what she wants to do.

Good Morning Pa,
This morning finds me packing the car for my trip to Tenn. to my retirement house.  It was broken into in Feb, and they arrested the person, have a witness of sorts who is going to testify at the hearing.  I think he may have been a boyfriend at one time, he came to her with my husbands power tools asking if she knew anyone who would buy them, then proceeds to tell her how he had to kick in two outside doors to get in.  She called the sheriffs office and reported it.  Everything that was taken was recovered except the TV.  So I have to head down to be in court to identify the items he took, and say yes those are mine.  Quite a long ride just to do that, but they did catch him, and I told them when they returned my items that I would be there, sooooo off I go this morning.  I have not driven down there by myself before, but I will be just fine.  I am a little nervous about spending the nite in a hotel by myself, but I will just have to get over it.  The reward I get will be to spend a few days down there and more than likely go into Dollywood for a day or two.  I hope I don't run into any of Kathy's crazies on the road.  Liz I am going to ask my daughter to check in on here for me as I am excited for you and Chris, and can't wait to hear what you will have.  Pam keep the faith, you and your brother and family are in my thoughts and prayers.  Everyone be safe and dry.

Have a safe trip! I agree - staying in a hotel alone especially the first night is a little creepy. Drive carefully and enjoy Dollywood! I've been there and we just loved it
