Good morning, PA!

Not sure what's in store for the day.  I woke up with a headache, so I'll probably lay low till I can get rid of that.  Depending on the weather, we may go treasure hunting on the beach later.  We're supposed to go upstairs sometime today to see our neighbor's pictures from her trip to Antarctica.

Have a great day, everyone!!!

Happy Monday everyone. I am home and laying in bed relaxing this morning. I took off today purposely because I knew I'd be exhausted from the weekend. I didn't know that I was going to catch a cold, too. So mucinex and I will become fast friends. Siehara is at school so it's me, the bed, and the laundry today.

I pick Siehara up from Girls on the Run at 5 and then I'm headed to the gym for spin class. I did exercise Friday and Sat at the hotel and plan to get back on track here at home, too.

Nothing else here. Hope everyone has a great day.

Good morning Trish and all of PA - What a lovely gray sky above us...(Just kidding about the lovely BTW!)

Woke up on time this morning, was up and out of the house relatively early to take Molly to school...I watched her WALK into the building!   (we gave her back her phone for during the day only this week.)  We had a really nice talk with her last night about letting the right people know if there is something bothering you and being RESPONSIBLE for actions that help her.  We also discussed trust and how it has to be earned in small spurts.  We shall see how that goes this week.  Baby steps!  Josh seems to be back to normal.  He SEEMED to understand the boundaries that Larry and I put on him regarding the whole sexting thing and I think is OK with them, the boundaries that is.  I am sure he will no longer have the pictures on his phone, however, I would be a little naive to think that this behavior wont show up somewhere else....time to be a prying ***** of a mom...OY!

Today has me actually TEACHING today - haven't done that in a while - hope I remember how to do it!  Two more days of testing, but not til tomorrow and Wednesday!  I will tutor this afternoon and then blissfully nothing planned this evening.  I am hoping to have some energy to continue to help Molly clean out her crap from the basement.  She is doing great getting rid of so much.  I was hoping that she would once her room was done and she saw that she didn't have room for the crap.

I hope you all have a relatively nice Monday and try to ignore the grayness of the day! :)  It is supposed to turn into a BEAUTIFUL week and an even better weekend....That is what happens around my birthday every year......LOVE IT!!!!!!

Thanks to those that responded about my ambulance crew rant with advice and well wishes.  I guess I understand the "being in the zone" aspect and my Dad did receive very good care from them.   I think I'll just let it go and be thankful that my Dad is doing ok.

I knew I could on my PA friends to guide me.

Thanks and hugs to all.

Good Monday morning all - boy after reading everyone's posts it seems like were are a real funky bunch this Monday morning and I'm sure the lovely weather has something to do with it.

I'm at work but not quite with it - wasn't sleeping good thru most of the night then woke up at 3:30 and never got back to sleep - of course now I feel like I could lay down and be out in 2 seconds flat!

Not much on my agenda today - or tonight for that matter. Should be a quiet day - only a few of us in the office today - not sure if that's good or bad since I may end up asleep on my desk - lol!

Have a friend at US Air working on getting my daughter tickets to get in for her grandmother's funeral - hopefully we'll know something this morning - sadly that is another 'perk' that the airlines have cut - bereavement fares. Sadly I won't see my daughter this trip as she'll most likely fly into Harrisburg or Baltimore.

Take care everyone...Kathy

WE were able to get my Uncle home with a "bereavement fare" in Feb... maybe try a different airline? We had to get him from Colorado to NJ. They allowed him to be flexible about the return date too and there was no charge to change it.

Good luck!

Liz

PS - my condolences to your daughter and her family :(

Thanks for that info Liz - I'll check into some other airlines and see what we can find. I'm really hoping my friend at US Air can get her back on a buddy pass or something. Thank you for the condolences, too...it's been a rough year for her - she and her husband just lost a good friend, too - poor guy was 52 and dropped over from a heart attack - a wife and 4 kids...that's sad.

Good Monday Morning All,

This rainy MOnday has me here at work a half hour late plus I forgot my Ipod for music and my POwerade to drink. SO a walk next door to Wawa will be on the agenda to get a Powerade but I did remember to bring Den's suit to take to the cleaners.

This weekend was a filled with fun with friends on Saturday once work was over. I got see my friend Jimmy who I had not seen much as of late then on Sunday we got up met friends for brunch after a comedy of uturns we finally made it to the Cafe we were having brunch at all due to a local 5 k and road construction which had streets blocked off. We surprised my friends by bringing my Aunt Mary with us who they had not seen and all adore.

One back home we caught up on some missed TV shows then I took a nap then we just vegged all day on the sofa before making our way to bed. Den's vaction is over and so is all the eating out!

Today has me at work then after work Den & I will go food shopping after work then making dinner at home. Watch some TV then hit the bed early. I have some phone calls to make in work to my doctors because a med I am taking and started off on samples is not covered under my prescription plan. Frustration with this insurance  for sure but grateful I have insurance. If it means a med change so be it or a fight with isurance company so be it.

Enjoy the Monday!

Good morning PA,

It's raining and icky outside, but that's okay since I have so much to do inside.  I'm hoping to be finished with work in an hour or so and that I can get some much needed housework done.

This past weekend I had many firsts; my first alcoholic drink since surgery on Saturday night, and then my first pasta yesterday since surgery.  I did okay with the vodka and tonic drink, and really enjoyed the evening out with some friends.  Yesterday, Len made spaghetti and meat sauce.  I had about 3 ounces.  It tasted really good, but was filling.  I've been so FEARFUL of trying pasta or bad carbs, but I was actually okay with it.  I was going to wait until 1 year from my surgery date before I tried alcohol, but it was okay and  I actually felt pretty "normal" being out and socializing in a controlled way, if that makes any sense - lol - I finally feel like I have control over my health/weight for the first time in a very long time and what a magnificent feeling.  Definitely something I will remain focused on and not let slip away.

Well, I best get back to work.  I just took a break while I had a protein shake for breakfast.  Wishing each of you much happiness and good health for a happy Monday!

Debbie
