Nope, it's NOT my fault quite yet .  As of tomorrow and the next day it will be.  Because those are my two days off and people automatically think that it rains only when I have a day off.  However...I'm not complaining about it right now...cause I get to sleep in this weather, which is just totally awesome :)

 Good morning all

It is very dreary out there.  I just got back from Philly.  I had an awesome weekend.  it was great seeing a bunch of people that i have not seen in years.

I drank way too much and thought for sure the scale would be up, but surprisingly, I was down to pounds.

Go figure.

Enjoy the rainy day!!

Alcohol is a diuretic - so the weight you "lost" may in fact be some dehydration setting in.  A)  Drink extra fluids today and tomorrow B)  Half expect a rebound weight gain.

Take it for what it's worth...but I have noticed when you go out for the weekend or a night you frequently say "I drank way to much..." or something to that effect.  Watch yourself and your pouch!  Alcohol causes ulcers for pouchers...and you don't want it to become a possible transfer addiction

Good Morning Everyone,
The Special Olympics event was awesome.  I shared pictures from Athletes Helping Athletes on Facebook yesterday.  I was busy selling T-shirts and altogether we raised $712 at the T-shirt table.  Upcoming fundraisers are also on my Facebook page, with the next one this Tuesday at TGIFridays in Warrington near Doylestown.

Today is R&R.  I overdid it yesterday, and my phlebitis leg is killing me again.  I also need to sort my summer/winter clothes, as I got two bags of summer clothes from my storage unit yesterday.  I also am roasting some chickens I got cheap.  I am going to carve them, and package them meat for freezing.  Then, in the future, when I want salad with chicken on top, I have it already cooked.

In the meantime, elevate the leg, moist heat, and read the newspaper.

Hugs,
Trish

Good Morning Pam & PA;

Up and getting ready for church.  Gene is co-pastoring today with our pastor.  After church we will be having a church meeting, our church is dying so we need to come up with a 2-3 year plan to either sell the church building or see if we can turn it around.  Our current pastor is there to help us transition either way that is his speciality, transitioning churches.   I baked a Jewish Apple cake for our luncheon still have to cut that up and make it look pretty for the luncheon.

After church we have to stop at whole foods to pick up some Greek Yogurt, went to every shoprite in my area yesterday and no Greek Yogurt, one told me they do not stock it anymore because it doesn't sell...

Yesterday we went shopping to get my dad some clothes.  Due to the water retention from his heart condition his whole body is swelled to the point he has no clothes to fit him anymore.  My brother instead of calling and telling me buys dad PJ's to wear everywhere.  My dad is one a very limited income, his incoming money pays for his taxes, gas, electric, and medical insurance.  After that there is no more money left.  It is a disgrace when a 90 year old man can't afford food because he has to pay so much for health insurance.  Off my soap box about health insurance costs.  So Gene and I went out shopping to get dad some nice dress clothes, I know he is embarassed to wear what my brother bought him in public and to church.  We went down to Jersey Friday night so I could get dad's measurements.  Unfortunatly dad can no longer walk much because he gets so out of breath, so we can't take him shopping and running around.  We'll take the clothes down either today or next Saturday.   As many problems as my dad and I have I hate to see him in this position where he can't even buy food because all his money is going to pay his property taxes and his blue cross insurance.

Now on an awesome note....while in the store yesterday the women's winter coats were on sale for 85% off the lowest ticket price.  I found 3 coates, a dress, a short one that goes with jeans/pants, and a casual and the best part was they are all a size SMALL!!!!!!!  Gene said do you really want to get them, your going to be loosing more weight.  The only size they make smaller than a small is an ex-small there were none on the racks so I'd rather have a jacket/coat that I can put layers under and be comfortable than to have it fit snug and I can't put layers under it.  I can out of the store with 3 winter coats for $25.00.....

Ida,

Hearing you talk about your dad reminds me of mine.  He had congestive heart failure, too, and it's tough to watch them slow down.  Sad, too, to hear about dying churches.  My dad was an Episcopal priest and his churches were always full of life, but I've seen places close and people feel lost.

Congrats on the buy on coats!!!  Awesome price, even more awesome size!!!!

Morning everyone. Had a great weekend with family. Just finished packing andgetting ready to go to our cousin's house for brunch before we head home. I met one if my adult cousin's childhood/lifelong friends in person Friday night. She had wls 2 1/2 years ago. We have been FB friends but finally got to meet. I became her chauffer for the weekend since she came from California. She's great!! She'd fit in with us too. Lol.

anyway. Off to get her and get moving to the house. We will probably leave there by 12 so we can get on the road. It's going to be a long ride home especially if the rain starts like it's supposed to rain, plus I caught a lovely cold and I feel just wonderful.

Lucked out big time. No rain at all until I got to the Blue Route. Even then it was pretty light. I am so happy to be home. I'm already in bed. It's been a long, exhausting weekend.
