Morning all - at work today and feeling much better - most of the aches and pains from the weekend furniture move are gone. Managed to get 5 miles in on my bike in less time last night so I'm slowing working my way back into working out.

Not much on my agenda today - my nephew is at our house painting and doing some odd jobs this week - trying to help him through a rough spot plus the house needed some sprucing up. I keep praying his new girlfriend will be his incentive to get his life together - we'll see. Pam, if there is any leftover incentive from Brian send it my way for Bill!

Was on FB this morning and my middle granddaughter had posted some new pics - I hate to be a tattle-tale (do people still use that term) but I want to talk to my daughter about some pictures Keali has been posting - she is VERY well endowed (at the ripe old age of 14!) and has posted pictures of herself in her bikini top. WOW. It scares me because you never know who's lurking on FB. She's not showing anything you don't see on Victoria Secret commercials, but then again she is only 14 and I just don't think they're appropriate to post on a public forum. Am I being a prude??

Anyway, not much else on my agenda today - meeting a co-worker for lunch and have 2 bags of clothes and shoes to pass along to her for her mom. Glad someone is getting use out of some of mom's nice things.

Take care...Kathy

You are ABSOLUTELY NOT being a prude - I have told some of my children's friends to take things off because as an adult we know things we would LIKE to keep the kids from.  and there are TONS of predators out there.  Even if the kids take what they think are necessary precautions, they still find a way.  I don't think it would be a problem to get right to her and tell her that although she looks beautiful, and I bet she does, that maybe those types of pics are best left for the physical photo album that is in the house in lieu of the virtual one. Remember, at that age they are so in awe of their bodies - they do not realize what the rest of the population thinks of it.  They are too young to understand.  Hope that helps! :)

It does help - thanks! She's the same one who had posted a picture of herself and her cousin showing their thongs sticking out of their pj bottoms - I did tell my daughter about that one and she talked to her and made her take it off. I just don't think she's 'thinking' about what she's doing and  she was always insecure about her body because her older sister is really built too, and now Keali has lost her baby fat and has really developed an incredible body - doesn't mean she needs to share it with the world, tho!!  I did post on that picture that I'm sending her a t-shirt to wear over the bathing suit. I don't want her to be ashamed of her body or embarrassed to show it, but I am afraid of the sick minds that are lurking on the internet who might have access to them.

I don't think you are, either....and it really is a difficult topic to bring up.

My question...why do you have to tell her mom?  Perhaps you should bring up the fact that SHE should be watching her FB page as well....

Good point, but I don't talk to Keali that often - they're in Seattle and the kids are always so busy - lately I've only talked to my daughter once a week, if that. So I don't want to come across the wrong way on FB - but you do make a valid point. I'll send her a direct message about it - the girls know I'm not a prude but I am concerned about her safety on the 'net. Thanks.

Oh - and left over incentive - it's taken me literally almost 10 years to get Brian to this stage....so obviously I need a lot of time :)

Good Morning All.

YAY For Brian!! I am sure that he'll love his brownies.

AS for me I am at work trying to take it slow and easy per Dr's orders. When I went to my OB last night my BP was a tad higher then usual and the baby's was a tad lower then usual so they sent me over to the Maternity Ward at the hospital for a non-stress test. Baby looks great and all the nurses are guessing girl. I do have strict instructions to rest and relax though so all stays well.

Work has been absolute hell because of the people that I am leaving "In charge" while I am out. They are already revolting. I am trying to remind myself that I don't have any control and what will be will be. It's hard though when you have spent 7 years getting things set up so they run smoothly.

Anyway - afterwork I want to stop at Home Depot or Lowes and pick up a shrub that Chris really wants as his anniversary gift then home to relax.

Have a good day all!

Good Morning PA Board!!

I am at work right now. I made a couple of phone calls that needed to be made. Today is a one session day for the students because we have a workshop in the afternoon. Of course, the subject is NEVER relevent to what I do!! I still have to attend....YUCK!!

After work I go to see Dr. P. for my 9 month check up, although technically I am 10 and a half months out. The weight loss has definitely slowed down, but I hope Dr. P. will still be pleased.

Work is VERY stressful these days. We are in contract negotiations and with Gov. Christie wanting to cut budgets, freeze our pay AND make us contribute to our health benefits it is not looking so good!  I am especially concerned for myself because everyone knows when budgets are cut, the arts are the first thing to go!! I am tenured and have a glowing work record, but it is still scary! Music is all I ever wanted to do since I was in HS.  If I lose my job, I have no idea what I will do!!!  Sorry, just had to vent...

Hope everyone has a GREAT Wednesday!!!!!

Beth I have heard a lot about the school finance debacle in NJ. Not easy times for anyone! Hopefully your job will be protected even if there is no raise.
