Back from the hospital
Hey everybody!! I just got back from the hospital around 3:30 today. The surgery went well. I am a little sore but mostly just tired from the lack of sleep in the hospital. I am up to about 60 oz of fluid as of 10:15. I will try to sneak in the last four ounces. I got really tired around dinnertime and had to take a nap. I spent a lot of time walking in the hospital, They called me the Hall Patrol. They had me on the orthopedic wing so by Sunday night it was pretty empty. I had some really cool nurses and aids who were very encouraging. I am thrilled to be on the Loser's Bench finally
AWESOME!! Keep up on the "hall patrol" while at home - it will be INVALUABLE to your healing. Sipping sipping sipping and walking walking walking are definately important! Kudos on the fluids - not many are able to get it in early out.
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses. ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/thumbsup2.gif)

So glad to hear that you're doing so well. The tiredness is completely expected - and naps are strongly encouraged early out. Helps you heal! And good for you on the walking! Keep it up and start adding a bit more distance or speed each time you go - before you know it, you'll have a good exercise program going!
Welcome to the loser's bench and fire any questions you have our way!
