Flat Abs Tip: Bedtime!
Here's today's Flat Abs tip from Glamour.com...
DAY 5
Give yourself a bedtime.
When you skimp on sleep, you’re setting yourself up to gain weight. Here’s why and how many hours of shut-eye you need to keep the pounds off.
Studies suggest that lack of adequate sleep may alter levels of hormones in your body that make you hungrier and more prone to overeating—while at the same time causing you to crave fatty, simple carb-y foods. In other words, you’re apt to bypass the salad bar and go straight for the cheeseburger and fries. Being well rested, on the other hand, keeps these hormones in check so you’re more likely to stick to your healthy eating plan. Your mission: TiVo Letterman and hop into bed a bit earlier tonight. Aim for seven and a half hours of good sleep.
God this is something I sooooo need to do. My "early" days these days are 9am...which leaves me with exactly 7 1/2 hours sleep IF I fall asleep immediately (which never happens) and if I don't wake up to pee etc etc. And, to be honest...most of the time...it's more like 10 or 11 I go to bed.
