***Spring Saturday Roll Call***
Good morning Pam - I hope the boy's playdate turns out to be productive...but we REALLY know what happens when boys play......:)
So last night was wierd - went to my students middle school dance - they were adorable - minus the two girls whose dresses left NOTHING to the imagination - What is wrong with parents these days? - Anyway - came home and changed AGAIN - it was too cold for a cute spring skirt and short-sleeve sweater. Then Larry and I went to a bar to meet up with some high school friends, it was not attended very well, but I did see a few people and we had some drinks, some dancing and many laughs. And Larry was adorable and funny as I had hoped! We had a nice time together - that is until I came home and literally crashed to sleep within moments of putting my head on the pillow.
Today I am about to take Molly to a City Year event then come home and try on the 8 or so dresses I bought yesterday to see which ones I am keeping. I am having a hard time NOT focusing on the extra skin around my middle and wondering if the clothes are showing it or if it is just MY focusing on the part of my body that I don't love. So poor Larry will be making clothing decisions for me today - don't worry - am NOT PMSing, so he should survive this hopefully unscathed! :) Hoping to have a quiet afternoon getting some things done around the house and then Larry and I are heading into Peddler's Village tonight with some friends for some shopping and dinner. Looking forward to it!
Tomorrow should be interesting - going to a "Survivor's Breakfast" in honor of Yom Hashoah - Holocaust Remembrance Day. Taking my 7th and 8th graders with me - always a very interesting day - great conversations come out of it and the kids are usually changed a little - I am changed EVERY time I hear a story of survival and the modesty in which these people speak. It's is amazing to have lied through such horrors and to have come out the other side........I could go on and on....
In any event - I hope you all have a GREAT Spring Saturday!

Morning all.. apparently Pam, Eric, Steffi and OUR friend Melissa decided to play on my facebook wall whilst I slept. I LOVE IT!!!
It was freezing last night when I left babysitting. The wind was crazy.
So, the scale is teasing me. I know I should NOT have gotten on it this morning, but I did. 170! WOO HOO, but I am not putting my ticker bac****il that se******ber is a 6.
Anyway.. today--going to synagogue this morning.
Later today, I'm really not sure what is going on. I was supposed to meet a friend and go to Jacobsburg for a nice hike and then have dinner together, but his truck broke down and I don't think we'll be getting together. I may go to him and see if there's something we can do in his neck of the woods. I'm not sure yet.
If I don't go there, I may spend some time with David and Ethan watching Daniel's opening day ceremonies at Little League. If you've been on my facebook wall, you'd see that Daniel made a super sweet remark to me last night and I am totally in love with this little 7 year old right now!
Tonight, since I already have Siehara spending the night at David and Sarah's, I believe I will take advantage and find somewhere to go out.
I hope that the wind dies(d) down and it is a beautiful spring day. Everyone enjoy!

Good Morning Pam & PA;
Good Luck with the car.
Today I will be going out to dinner for my birthday with my daughters their husbands, my dad, maybe my mother-in-law, and Gene.
I was looking forward to this dinner till I got a phone call from my dad last night. Instead of him wishing me a happy birthday - he tore into me because I didn't invite my brother to dinner. WTF Family drama, don't bother with my brother because he pretends to be nice then stabs me in the back. I don't trust him, do not feel safe with him therefore I avoide him. Avoidence of course not always the best answer nor is it healthy but it works for me. After a lifetime of my attempts to trust him then it blowing up in my face I can't play that game anymore and will not play that game with my brother.
So I said to dad, no I did not invite him. I invited my daughters and you. Dad says brothers and sisters are supposed to spend birthdays together. At which point I say to my dad - when was the last time Joey invited me to anything he has for his birthday? The answer is never. I then asked him if when Joey doesn't invite me does he call his son and tear into him as he is doing to me - dad's answer was of course not that's your bother.
So the call ended with me saying Dad do you want to go or not it's up to you. I've invited MY daugheters and you if that is not acceptable to you then so be it.
Dad's answer your picking me up around 3 - my reply yes. Dad's reply - by the way I have all my income tax stuff ready for Gene to do. It's 5 days till they are due, your just mentioning it now?????? No wonder I avoid.....
Sorry about the rant....back to nicer thoughts. I'm going to see my daughters today and it will be a great day!
Hope everyone has a wonderful day - and stay warm!!!!!
Ida
